Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
Well I was surfing the net, and I ran across this article about the new Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. It gives you a kind of preview of what the new attraction will be like, and talks of something unique that will happen to guests on the attraction. :???: (I know it is not true!) He described it as something that they have never done? I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but I thought it was worth a read. Even though the article may not be true, I frankly can't wait for this attraction, and I hope I still work there for cast previews....lol. :yea:
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Article
Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
The article is horribly inaccurate. The set pieces have been showing up on pallets in the lagoon for a few weeks now so they're obviously not staying put.
The coral has been scraped down or has had holes punched in it so it's obviously not "staying right where it is".
The lost city of Atlantis was taken away 2 weeks ago (tottering columns and all).
The sea serpent was sold at a silent auction last week. As have a lot of the animatronics from the outside lagoon.
I don't exactly trust Jim Hill's sources on this one.
Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
Was'nt there a auction last week that sold most of the old sub stuff???I remember reading a post that someone bought the sea serpent for $3,000 and in the article it says its still there :???:
Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
Lol questioned answered. The article is DEFINTLY wrong
Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
Clearly some old and incorrect info- seeing as how they sold the sea serpent in the auction. But I am still looking forward to this very very much.
Check the date of the article- April.....no wonder.
Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
Considering the article was written back in April my guess is that 1. the article is in fact wrong or 2. Since that April, the corporate headquarters have Ok'd more money to create an entirely brand new ride with brand new props versus using the old.

Circarama bought a piece, I think, and put it in his backyard.
In fact, here's the thread: http://www.micechat.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8399

Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
I knew that they weren't going to keep the older stuff, but the way he described the ride was interesting.

Cool! Who was it? I wish I had the space and the money for retired Disney parts.

Check my post above. :) It's a really cool thread.
I know some people might disagree, but they really needed to 86 the underwater animatronics because they had been sitting in that lagoon unused for years. I hope they come back with brand new shiny ones.
Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
I was thinking that maybe some of the old animatonics would be replaced with new ones that look the same or similar? Obviously not all the AA's, but maybe some of them. I guess we'll know in 24 months.

Re: Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage....
I rather like his description of the new ride. Perhaps some of the (nearly) 50-year-old props will be recreated.
