    "Imagineers, [CENSORED] that Wall!!!"

Today, we noticed the walls surrounding the new attraction, Toy Story Midway Mania, were removed. In addition, we saw some toy mobiles being tested. New walls were erected and signs were posted to direct Guests where to reach certain Paradise Pier attractions and adventures.

    On with the pictures,

Look closely below. You'll find some "testers" in the lobby area. We were seconds late in capturing two toy mobiles go by.

Here use to stand Disney's California Adventure Christmas Tree, 2007.

New walls lined the path leading to Grizzly River Run and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. Wha' for?

Thank you for visiting. We'll see you soon.

Cool post... just wish you hadn't used the historic words from one of Reagan's most important speeches. I don't mean to be a stickler, but to me the parallel to the Berlin Wall was in ill taste.

I imagine the wall at GRR and GC has to do with the hotel construction.

techskip, thank you for showing me how insensitive I was in mishandling a historic and treasured quote as a hook for this particular thread.

I should always be mindful of the freedom and liberation brought upon those on the other side of the Berlin Wall.

Forever will I be mindful of what I type on this board. May I leave you with two quotes?

    Again, thanks.

Not sure if this was an actual apology or a tongue in cheek comment. In either respect I apologize if I seemed a little harsh. I actually own a piece of the Berlin Wall, given to me by my Grandfather. Nothing dramatic, just a small lump of concrete in a velvet pouch, stashed in it's box along with a certificate. As Grandpa said "It's not often that you can hold an actual piece of history in your hand. It may not seem like much now but it split a nation in half and prevented millions from being free!" Again I don't mean to be overly sensitive, but to me, even if not intended, the parallel was extremely obvious. I did enjoy the quotes, and again nice pictures.

I am going to bet that the person quoted here was never shot at or been on the wrong end of an artillery barrage.

    Back on topic...

Great pictures! I hope that the inside is as exciting as the outside! Thanks for this wonderful update! I greatly appreciate it!

And now off-topic: The quote, which was clearly intended to be in good taste and in good fun, has been used several times on this board when referring to attractions that are about to open. I can cite two specific threads which clearly reference the Reagan quote in this very forum: Mr. Iger Tear Down This Wall! and Tear Down the Wall!

Looks amazing. I love how it looks with the rest of the pier. Makes everything else look sour.

This specifically was the only one I have seen, had I seen the others my comment would have been the same on them as well.
