Ok, I'll sign it. I love the Christmas Fantasy Parade, it has so much heart and such a catchy song. Parade of Dreams is good, but it lacks the cohesive character of some of the more better parades such as The World According to Goofy, Lion King Celebration, Party Gras, and Aladdin's Caravan. It's almost like they wanted to try to shoehorn the animated Disney characters into a parade and then wrap some music and floats around them. Disneyland's parades used to have an electric feel and make you feel really, really excited to be there. The Parade of Dreams is more like, "Wow, this is fun to watch", but it doesn't have that energy in the air that Disneyland parades 10 years ago had.
The Christmas Fantasy Parade still has that aura about it, one that makes you feel excited to be a part of it. The song is so catchy and it really needs to be in Disneyland. Disney's Electrical Parade pales in comparison to the MSEP even though it's the same exact show. It's not enough to just be able to see the show, you have to see it in its proper context...you have to see it inside the escapism of Disneyland. If you theoretically took any attraction out of Disneyland and put it anywhere else, it wouldn't be nearly as fun as it is at Disneyland. It goes to show you the influence that Disneyland has over people's perceptions inside the park.
