Keep Christmas Parade at Disneyland!

It has been talked about that the Christmas Fantasy Parade may move to Disney's California Adventure Park this Holiday season. This would be a huge mistake. For those of you who have seen this wonderful parade, you should know it just won't look the same in California Adventure. This parade has proven that it can attract big crowds and entertain them. No way does California Adventure have enough people to justify having a huge parade in an empty theme park.

This being a very special celebration year for Disneyland's 50th, the parks are seeing many people from out of state who have not yet experienced the new Parade and fireworks. For this reason, I think it is wize to move the Xmas parade to DCA for this one year and keep the current entertainment offerings at Disneyland.

While I think Disneyland should still do Christmas, I don't want it to compete with the 50th celebration.

This may even be a good thing for DCA. Help give it a heart. Perhaps we'll find that we actually have a reason to visit DCA after all.

I'm so tired of the Christmas Fantasy parade that I would be thrilled if they gave it to DCA and roll out a Christmas version of Electrical Parade for Disneyland next year.

The Christmas Fantasy Parade is archaic...if it can get more people in DCA, then that is fantastic. DL is already too crowded, so why add the Fantasy parade to make it more crowded? They would have to run it along w/ PoD and Remember, since guests expect to see both during the 50th, which would cause an all-day crowd control nightmare. It's really not worth it.

typos are fixed (sorry). and I think that running POD in the day and Christmas Fantasy at night would be wise or switched that way everyone can experience this wonderful parade. Considering that DCA still doesn't fill up it does not make sense to send a huge parade to that park and make a small cavalcade for a full park of people expecting a grand Disney Christmas parade. So keep the Christmas Parade at DL

Sending a petition in on Sept. 1st is a bit late. The final decision about "A Christmas Fantasy" Parade has probably already been made. I'm guessing Al will give us an update regarding it very soon. And it might be good news for you, but then, that's just my personal guess.

Yes, you are right. I don't know how well a petition being tuned in on September 1st would help, but I decided to help out a friend and get his petition out in the open. Then there is the other side... you guys are all bringing up great points about crowd controll etc... it could turn into quite a nightmare. So, as much more magical it would seem to see it at Disneyland, I think Disney could make it equally as good at DCA.
