Great shots as always, cant wait to see the rest. Strange that they woudl take out all the greenery...seems like a waste of good grass.

A little piece of heaven
I wonder if those lights will create the sparkling effect used on the castle during Remember... and also used on Laffite's Tavern during the Fantasmic Finale. Makes you wonder why they didn't think of this sooner...
I'm literally a born Disney fan! I was born at Providence St. Joseph Med Center right across the street from Disney Studios in Burbank. The same hospital where Walt died.
By the way my shirt in the pic says "I like big sharks and I cannot lie"
ORDDU: Very nice photographs, duckling!! Your angles are creative, as well.
Very nice! I can't wait to get back to Disneyland in March.![]()
They may have used a sod cutter. It basically "picks up" the grass (along with the roots and soil) which allows it to be replanted.Strange that they woudl take out all the greenery...seems like a waste of good grass.
Awesome shots!
I too love Tink being there because she adds charm to the floral arrangement and is a better accent than the Mickey figure.
I heard that there is supposed to be LED lighting in the floral to make it look like tink is sprinkling pixie dust over Mickey.
wow these are awsome pics. I love the colors. but man the work they put into all this. took out everythingI really respect those who do this, they do an awsome job!!
Lighting sounds interesting BUT:
That BUG-EYEDDemonic Expresion on Tink's face HAS GOT TO GO!
Evil-Tink should have NO place in Disneyand. Muahahahahahaha!!!
I did a little research and found these:

They are new generation LED strobes. They look a lot like the ones in the floral. I researched these a few weeks ago. I went back and found them again to see if thats what Disney used.

I agree about Tink's face. Not a fan of it at all. It just doesn't translate well to 3D. The same goes for many of the 2D human characters when they go to real dimension. They need to somehow rework her face.
Other than that, I like it. It's not overdone at all. Not to mention I'm looking forward to what it looks like at night. I really didn't like the floral Mickey figure. Too much Mickey tends to take away from the overall specialness he brings.
And if I'm not mistaken it looks like they were going to have little floral sparkles everywhere before the walls came down, but were taken down at the last moment.
If someone gets a photo of the floral display at night please post for those of us in far away places!!! Thanks in advance.
I'm going to be at Disneyland for New Year's Eve!!!
