I hate that the picture that's being posted everywhere is soooo misleading. it looks as if the train has flipped over on its side... but it's just the bank in the track right before the loading dock. And people are saying that it has derailed and stuff...
I just spoke to a "Friend" at the park. The accident was a little bit more than a "Bump" and all injuries seemed to be minor when sent to the hospital. It occured during a cascade (a slow loading train causing a back up of trains on the track). However, any of the brake zones SHOULD have been able to prevent the two trains "Bumping".

Re: Accident at Disneyland 7.29.05
Thank God nothing extremely serious happened.
Sounds like the ride just went into emergency stopped and one of the brakes malfunctioned.
The accident is being slightly overblown in the media, however, with headlines of TWO ROLLERCOASTERS COLLIDE AT DISNEYLAND. This is gonna be terrible press for DCA and Disneyland during its 50th anniversary.
Too bad it's right next to Katella too, it's very easy for the news stations to get pictures and live helicopter video of the trains.
Bring on the whiplash lawsuits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aaaaaawwwwwwww, the 50th commercial is playing while I write this.
