    Daisy Taking a Stroll

I have been a long, long time lurker/viewer (nearly every day, so yes. I'm hooked). After this morning, I decided I had to share:

This morning, we were heading toward IJ when a mother duck and her five babies were strolling along the Adventureland entrance toward the pond.
About 90 minutes later, we're walking back down Main Street to go to DCA. Taking her time, with babies in tow, was the mother. She crossed the plaze and entered DCA on the west end of the gate. We walked with them and the CM escort (I asked of the ducks had purchased park-hoppers!) to the Condor Flats turnoff (we were heading to Soaring). The babies started veering toward our direction, but the mother quickly got their little feet running toward the direction toward the lagoon.

A man watching said, "Are they real?"

Quite a walk for five babies!!

Great stuff ISTM. Gotta love the ducks at Disneyland, especially when they are towing ducklings.

    "Are they real?"....

It's amazing the affect that Disney can have on people. I have to admit, I probably would have wondered it myself for a split second.

I love the Disney duckies. They seem to be cuter than real duckies.

    Genetically manipulated?

I really think that the ducks recognize cm's.

I remember last year, when I working gso, there was a mother duck and her ducklings that were trying to cross from one side of the walkway to the other. Guests were stopping and trying to pet them and such and the poor mama looked so stressed out, not sure what to do or where to go. A fellow parades cm and I walked right up between the guests and the ducks and the mother looked at us, then quickly got her little ones out of the path and into the grass. It was the cutest thing...

    Forget Disney Magic...Universal performs MIRACLES!!!

Haha cute! Had a similar experience at Disneyland myself! It's nice of the CM to escort them and make sure the mother and her bebes get to their destination safely!

    Re: Daisy Taking a Stroll

ive been a lurker too ISeeTheMatterhorn!! and joined today! two days later too bad i didn't join then!

anyways. ive also seen baby ducks and mom near storybook. i felt bad because it was a busy night and they looked confused. some parent let their child run towards them also. so ever since then i like to see the mom and ducklings when they're in the water.
