Because I had a meeting in Cypress this morning I decided to head over to the park for the afternoon when it was finished. It was a really lovely day - clear and just warm enough not to have to wear a jacket or a sweater.
I went on a few rides (Indy, Canoes, Small World Holiday, Buzz, Mark Twain and saw the Billy Hill show twice ).
Here are some pictures of other things I saw today:
I ate lunch at Hungry Bear and noticed this Great Egret. He must hang around that area as I noticed him later in the afternoon when I was on the Mark Twain. He's very pretty.
Walking around I caught the show in front of the castle
I enjoy taking reflection photos of the castle (see my avatar of one I took at Christmas
I went over to Small World which is still up and is still in Holiday mode.
I think this little Egyptian girl is cute
I boarded at this time
Only a few of my indoor pictures came out as I won't use flash and my camera won't handle this kind of stuff so I was surprised any came out
Pulling in to dock at this time
Later in the afternoon I came over to the Small World area where the parade starts and got these photos.
The reason I like this photo is because the light is reflecting off of one of Tink's sequins though I wish she had been looking my way
I got a kick out of this when I saw it. Don't know if he's trying to eat her or kiss her
No reason for this picture. Just because.
Took a trip on the Mark Twain around 4:30 and liked this shot coming around the bend toward the dock
I always try to make the effort to attend the flag lowering in the late afternoon. Today both the band and the Dapper Dans performed. I was pleased to see a number of veterans/service people come forward to stand around the flag when their song was being played.
I was especially moved to see this former Marine slowly walk up to the flag pole area
Getting ready to lower the flag
I never deliberately go looking for a picture to end these reports with. They sort of just happen.
