Well, my dream of having my closest friends and family join me a fun filled day of taking Maddie to Disneyland didn't quite go as planned. At least Maddie made her "mark" there. She pretty much puked all over the entire park. The cast members could not have been nicer.
First, she puked while we were ordering lunch, the cast members were understanding, as were the guests in back of us. Robb didn't smell very pretty, since he received most of her "wrath". She seemed better afterwards, and very hungry and VERY thirsty. I thought the puking might have been a result from too much excitement and a bit of dehydration (I was wrong).
She puked all over Inovations (sp?). A cast member took us to the CM bathroom so we could clean her up, gave us trader pins and a coupon for a new shirt since she had puked over everything I brought. I was nearly floored by the kindness and sincere concern for Maddie the Cast Members had for her.
By that point we decided to take her to 1st aid to make sure she didn't have a fever (no fever). Right before we got to the door, she puke right off of main street. The Nurse was super nice, gave us some recommendation and told us if we needed a quite place for Maddie, to bring her back to 1st aid and she could rest there. Oh and she gave Maddie a sticker with Minnie in a nurse outfit (cute) and let us fill our water bottles there because the drinking fountain has cold filter water there.
After first aid we went to the baby center right off of main street to try to clean and de-stink the kid.(BABY CENTER WAS AWESOME, IF YOU EVER NEED A HIGHCHAIR, MICROWAVE, SUPER CHANGING AREA....THAT'S THE PLACE TO GO!!) They also have private suites to nurse, good to know.
We decided to stay at the park because 1) Maddie was not unhappy, not her usual self, but not screaming or in pain. 2) if we left at that time, it would have taken us probably 3 hours to get home due to rush hour. We would rather her puke at DL then the car.
After each time she puked she would snap out of it and be very excited so we did a few easy rides (Storybook Land, Snow White and Alice....she really like Alice)
She was becoming really tired so we thought maybe a nice train ride around the park and let her look at the lights...maybe fall asleep. Puked on the train. Once again, super nice Cast Member, we apologized (again) he said "no problem happens all the time, told us if we needed anything 1st aid was on main street along with the baby center.
Finally, we headed out and it was smooth sailing home. I'm very proud of my little trooper. Even lying half zonked in Robb's arms, she was still saying "hi" with all her effort to people as they walked by us.
I was totally impressed by Disneyland, not the trip I was hoping for, but memorable.
