Re: swan boat ride at DL?

    - No swan boats ever within Disneyland Park.

    - I certainly don't recall any of the paddleboats at the Disneyland Hotel ever being swan shaped. That's not to say there weren't any, but I certainly don't recall any such thing. Nor could I find any evidence of such in all my old photos.

    - Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom in Florida did indeed have a Swan Boat ride in its early years, which encircled the Hub and took a side trip into Adventureland past Swiss Family Treehouse and even gave a sneak-peak of the Jungle Cruise. But they weren't paddleboats. Here's a snap of it in front of the Crystal Palace restaurant:

    You're very welcome.

The author of that video has many other great ones. Check out the Horizons and WoM videos. There are also a couple of 20K fleet cycles and lagoon demolition videos.

The R/C boats are still there but they were moved with all the redesign. They used to be in the corner of the lagoon where the Marina tower/hotel checkin desk building met the conference room/steakhouse55/etc building. Now they're right outside of Lost Bar.

Nope. Again, there were never any swan boats within Disneyland.

That lagoon started out as the "Tomorrowland Boats" in 1955 and the next year were renamed the "Phantom Boats." The Phantom Boats did have twin Batmobile-like fins on the back of them. Perhaps that's what they are thinking about?

    http://davelandweb.com/tomorrowland/..._1956_N08B.jpg

In 1957 the boats were changed out to ones with a more contemporary look and what they would remain for the rest of their lives at Disneyland, and the attraction was renamed to the "Motor Boat Cruise." In 1991 it got its Disney Afternoon overlay and it briefly became "Motor Boat Cruise to Gummi Glen." But the boats were the same.

Lots of amusement parks of that era had swan boat attractions. They were quite common. Perhaps they are confusing one of those with Disneyland? But Disneyland never had 'em. Sorry.
