Do you have cable TV, a cell phone, or go to the movies or out to eat? Cut all that out and that should give you some cash for a trip?

I try to set aside a little of each paycheck for savings. I don't use it all for Disneyland trips, but that's one of the things I save for. I recently got the Disney Credit Card simply to make my trips more convenient. But I wouldn't recommend charging your Disney trip. Save first and pay it off quick.

If you book through the Disney Travel Company or their website, you pay a $200 deposit and then you have up until a month before your trip to pay the balance. This might be something to look into as they can book an all-inclusive trip (airfare, rental car, hotel, meals, theme park tickets (not just disney ones either) etc.) That way, you know exactly how much money you need and can decide if you can afford it. Their prices are pretty reasonable and if you book the trip, say, 6 months in advance, you can make payments which is kind of like saving, except the money goes right where you are saving it for.

Good luck! (Our trip in september is being paid for with student loans

Hmmm...well Mowsluver here are my suggestions...

    1. If you know a cast member be extra nice to them in the coming months
    2. In regards to saving cut out all of the unneccesaries, only buy what you must.
    3. See if you have relatives or friends who can get you discounted park tickets via their work or school
    4. If you have a AAA card use it for food to get a discount (I think they still have this deal)
    5. In regards to ebay maybe try selling something else other than Disney stuff that might be more profitable

I have a second job that pays for Disneyland. It is a fun job, even the kids help out. I mystery shop. I get paid small amounts for each shop, but they add up, and I try to get several shops lined up for each day. It was good enough that I was able to use 2 months pay to pay for my kids and I to go on the Imagineers Quest over the 50th. An example, today I shopped a coffee shop and a sandwich shop. It will be worth about $22. It goes directly into the "Disneyland" fund when it gets paid. My kids fight to see who gets to go help mom. Next week, we have to go to an arcade....

I also get "paid" to read emails, thru mypoints.com. I collected enough points from reading and buying some stuff for my mom using their website, I had $200 in gift certificates to use at The Rain Forest and Joe's Crab Shack while we were there. (Helped with the food budget.)
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

Sadly, I had to use credit cards for my last trip. Someday I'll get them paid off.

Radio stations are always giving away free trips to Disneyland. Visit all of your local radio stations' web sites and see if there are any going on soon(I won a trip a few years back this way plus I know someone who also won a trip to WDW, so it may not be nearly as astronomical as you might think)

Also: you might be surprised by what you can make on ebay( I once sold a simple souviner guide from 1997 for $42.00---amazing since Disney hands these out for free to every guest)

Check for deals; here is a good place to start

    Good luck

find something enjoyable you do often that you dont necesarily have to do, and it has to be somehting that doesnt cost any money. this could be anything from watching a movie with the kids at home to having sex with your SO. everytime you do this predetermined activity put a set amount of money in a box. $5 is a minimal price to pay for sleeping with your SO but adds up fast (I hope for your sake ;-) )

    my $.02

I am sadly in a similar boat...maybe I should put a dollar in a jar every time I see a girl I like...that would be a more reasonable way of coming up with money lol. Yeah, that's the ticket! Put a dollar in a jar every time you see someone who you find good looking!
