Sure, i'll have to ignore most of the site, but almost all the rumors and speculation make me have mixed feelings. Some things will be welcome, while others won't. It's my way of saying "Stop getting my hopes up, Nemo's buzz killed the ride for me."

The video is mislabeled. I made a mistake and took it for face value.

Unfortunately, it's the same old mock-up - repackaged.

Perhaps there will be new art and/or videos released before then. This clip, however, does not show us anything new.

The new LM ride will be 8 mins. in length, which is longer than HH.

The Little Mermaid ride is sure to spill over with fun and excitement.

That's the spirit. I think that it will captivate most everybody.

How nice it would have been to travel in vehicles that hang from an overhead track system.

Our ride will be 8 minutes in ride length. We can count on it featuring new technologies, and elaborate special effects and backdrops. I'm hoping for a number of AA's as well.

Glad to have facilitated the opportunity for you to see the original mock-up, Fracia.

Nothing wrong with not joining in with the throngs of guests on the frantic opening day of a heavily anticipated attraction. This coming Apriil will be my first opportunity to ride the Nemo Subs and visit Pirates Lair At Tom Sawyer Island. I figure there's a remote possibility that I might experience a soft opening of Toy Story Midway Mania as well.

I seriously haven't seen the acronym "AA" in such a long time... How Sad.

Indeed! Seems like AA's are becoming an endangered species.

Maybe this attraction will be the one to revives AA's. Considering rumors are the "Under the Sea" scene being as big as the graveyard in the HM and the concept art shows the vehicles circling scenes would mean a lot of things would have to be in the round. I am sure there will be digital video in the attraction, but there has to be some figures in there. If there are less maybe they will be more sophisticated. I would like to see a AA of Sebastien the crab who dances and sings. A AA of Ursula singing her song would be a highlight for me.

I want to see figures that move as well as the ones in Sindbad in Tokyo.

I think that it's highly likely that you will see AA's of Sebastion, Ariel, King Triton and Ursula. They would be the latest generation of technogical motion as well. Don't be surprised if holographs are another cpmponent of the ride. Even the Monsters, Inc. ride has a holograph in one of it's scenes.

I loved that on the DVD. I liked the dark feel of the ride.

Yes. The ride will be extremely dramatic in some scenes, and impart a sence of total elation in others. Keep in mind that the actual ride will use real scenes as oposed to the animation featured in the mach-up.

    I loved the DVD too.

Of course, I like Ariel (I wanted to be her as a kid) so I'm gonna love the ride no matter how different it is. I just loved how eerie the entire thing felt. Even the ending... I dunno. Maybe it was because of how inclosed it was.

Are they going to be using AA's? Or cardboard cut-ous like it looks in the DVD?

The sedate feel of much of the music also adds to the eerieness of the ride. The big multi-million dollar budget wasn't even dreamt of at the time that this early mach-up was created. I would imagine that virtually anything that smacks of a cheap cardboard look will not be a part of this ride - which Disney is already comparing to Haunted Mansion and Pirates in terms of quality.

Good, I like the eerieness. Oh good. I'm glad. I can't wait to ride it.

Re: Sneak Peak - New Little Mermaid Ride @ DCA

I just watched a video on youtude of TDS's Sinbad attraction, for the
first time. Wow! Very impressive! And the heavy audio animatronic
dark ride is one of the MAJOR missing elements in DCA. So, I do expect
to see dozens if the Little Mermaid attraction is to live up to the E-Ticket
attraction that some have purported this to be. And that would mean
they would need to be much better than the majority of the very limited
movements found in Monsters Inc. This ain't the time for DCA to be
going cheap on us. Especially when this is one attraction that many will
have been waiting 20 years for, by the time is opens, and for it to be one
of the 1st major improvements of the infamous 1 Billion Dollar Budget that
is to upclass and set the new Standard for this challenging park.
