    Pirates Musical Possibility

Ok, so you know how some people were talking about changing the Aladdin show at the Hyperion? Well My friends and I were talking and we joked about a Pirates of the Caribbean musical! Sounds dumb right? Well we were thinking about what the choreography would look like...so i did a youtube search and this is what came up...

Lets hope no one in charge of the shows sees this, or else we might actually have a pirates musical in there! lol

I'm a bit tired of pirates, but I liked the dance. I always like watching those dance things though.

i've seen this one before; it was up on the net very soon after the first movie came out. it's a great competition piece, and the choreography and technique is very impressive, especially on the stunts, even to my experienced dancer's eye! no doubt they took home one of the top scores... i love this one and have watched it over and over. disney would never have the chops to pull off dancing this good, however.

on another note... back right after the first film came out, some friends of mine from a POTC message board rewrote the lyrics to about 12 or 13 songs to reflect the plot of the movie, and they called it POTC: Livin' La Isla Muerta (affectionately known as 'the musical'). Even though it was a mere karaoke method, it was quite clever and hilarious, and I used to wish that it could be performed onstage. :P

This sounds like a fun night! Maybe if we can get enough people involved we can take over the House of Blues in DTD and sing pirate karaoke until the sun comes up!

I would not want to see it as a feature show tho. But the dance rutine for the contest was great.
