so a few days ago, a guy comes up to me at the Concierge desk at my hotel and tells me he wants to propose to his girlfriend at the park.
thing is: it's last minute before he wants to, he's going to Medieval Times beforehand and is going back to the park at 8:30-ish right before the fireworks.
i try suggesting to him to do it somewhere towards NOS and do it on that staircase by the train station to try and get away from the crowd he's sure to encounter.
he plays with the idea and goes to MT.
comes back after the show and says he'd rather do it during the fireworks by the wishing well. well...as we all know, it ain't gonna happen.
he's starting to panic at this point as its now 8:25, i place a call to a friend of mine i worked with in the parks who's a plaid.
thankfully he was working that evening. i explain the situation and called in a favor (saved his mother from a burning building type deal).
he tells me to send them to the train station on Main Street and he'll take care of it from there.
so i do and that's the last i see of them for that evening...
...and the next day...
...then i see them collecting their bags and heading out to their shuttle. i peer at her hands to see if i can see a rock, but shes got like, a BILLION rings on her fingers and being a dude, i cant tell the difference.
she goes outside and i see him. i'm like,"WELL?!"
he told me that that evening they got VIP seats at the train station for the fireworks, the next day a private photo op at the wishing well with photopass cm's AND a reservation at BB.
she walks back in and we're laughing now cause she's like "i'm still here aren't i" when i asked if he popped the question.
we laugh, he thanks me and come June 22 i'm goin to a wedding
