Yeah, and it was during the Indiana Jones part where there are flames projected. Some tourist wondering why IASW is on fire.

When my boss gets back from wherever he's disappeared to this week, I'll put him on the case. He's down there more often than I am, and has a really nice camcorder.

Re: "It's A Small World" is now a part of "Remember...Dreams Come True"

I'll have a couple short videos in my next update Monday, possibly three.

It's really cool in it's own right. I'll come right out and say it, the projections are movies and video projected onto the front of the IASW facade. It's not like the projections on the castle at all. During the star tours thing they project the x wing fighter flying down the alley of the death star... also vintage movie clips of Walt.

While watching the effects in front of the castle cannot be replaced, watching from Small World is a much stronger alternative to me than it ever was for the old fireworks show. It will make tourists want to be in the park two nights to see the same show!

I will make a wager that viewing space for IASW is about to get VERY crowded!

    Edit:

Aw, heck. Here are some photos... they're just screen grabs from the video I shot, but I can get bragging rights to be the first to post 'em here...

The first couple are of the Star Tours segment. The first pic is an X-wing fighter flying over the death star. The second is the jump to hyperspace effect.

The third pic is just a cool multi-color effect that goes with the multi-color fireworks. The fourth pic has a couple movies of Walt walking around the property before construction and the opening day speech (look really close).

The Fifth pic is a moving effect of fireworks projected on IASW with an animated tinkerbell type light flying through it.
The sixth image is, well, a preview (some would say a "shameless plug") of the photos to come on Monday. This one will be offered as a desktop wallpaper at that time.

As almandot mentioned, I was at the park last night with my Super!Camera (although, to be fair, I used my little lens for fireworks - big lens for Fantasmic ) and took lots of photos of the projections. I gotta agree with everything daddyb said - it's an impressive alternative to the Hub crowd. When I saw it last night, there was still lots of seating in the street in front of IASW/the parade gate, even as the show started. And it was very easy to get out. Being a quick people-dodger, I was at the Fantasmic seating area by the time that Wishes ended!

In any case, the pics are in my gallery from yesterday, and start around page 4:
