WHat's that area called between turnstyles and overpasses

It's the area between the turnstyles and the Disneyland Railroad overpasses that lead to Main St USA. There is a giftshop on one end.
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.

It's the Main Entrance. It is what I know it as.

OK thanks. I thought the main entrance was just the turnstyles.

Kind of redundant to call it the main entrance isn't it? There are no other entrances so it's the only entrance.

By the guide map is part of Main street. I call it main gate.
I think you talk about the Newspaper stand giftshop on the left side or right side?

Yes I think it is a newspaper stand. Never got a good look at it. I know there's the mickey mouse flowers there. On my park map it isn't labeled.

I believe it's technically the "lobby". Remember, you're going into a show when you walk onto Main Street. Allegedly Walt wanted to have real red carpet out there, but settled for bricks when he realized he'd be replacing it all the time.

The Piazza. It's North of the Esplanade.

With all due respect to Pragmatic Idealist, we should call it the North Piazza.

Bing bing! We have a winner. Susie and bearride both win an imaginary dream prize - close your eyes and think of something nice. YAY! YearS of a million dreams wins again.

I'm sure PI would point out that that area is not a Piazza. The area on the other side of the turnstiles fits the definition however.
