Re: Fishbulb's Gumball Rally 2 / 3 year anniversary trip report

Sorry for the delay. Blast was a REALLY long show.

    Sunday January 27th

I woke up at about 8:30 am and immediately checked myself. NOPE! I didn't have a hangover. THANK GOD. Although I was beat as all get out. No time for tired though. Today was the MiceChat 3 year anniversary celebration and we had to be in the park in roughly an hour and a half.

We stayed at the wonderful Annabella Hotel right next to the park. It was SO NICE. It was the first time that I stayed at a hotel where I preferred the hotel bed to mine at home. Spacious and comy and really not enough time spent there.

We got ready and before we knew it we had only 20 minutes to leave the hotel get to the park, get parked, and make it to Magnolia Gardens in front of Haunted Mansion for the big 10am meet.

We took the back door into the parking structure and were allowed to park in the Pinnochio lot, and bolted onto the Tram. We reached the gates and Dusty bolted to the 10am meet while I lagged behind.

The schedule for the Anniversary listed an 11 am meet on Tom Sawyer's Island with a special "Where's Fishy?" event. I had my hiding place all picked out, and it was good, but the question was, "Would the island be open?". Taking my time, I popped into the Main Street Cafe to get a coffee and noticed I had company.

The band greeted guests at the gate

Cruella sent me a sinister smile as I entered town square

    Company in the Coffee shop

Was the island open? Wasn't it? Was I supposed to go hide? I called Dusty and he confirmed that the Island was, in fact, closed which meant I didn't have to go hide. I headed to the meet at Magnolia Gardens.

Dustin Fishy and Elly. Lots of love here

    Penguinsoda and the lovely Neuhickmans

    Earkids posterior

    Demigod

    MattHammands cool kid

    RadioBarry

    PurpleDove

    Photomatt

    Good times

After the meet we all hopped onto the train and took a grand circle tour.

Pratt55 zapped me with her wand

We, all 120 of us then made our way to the Mark Twain as the alternative to going to the island. This turned out to be rather nice.

Princess626, PirateMunkee and I got to ride in the wheel house

    I was Cap'n

    Pratt55 gave a show

    3 canoes

Straight off of the Mark Twain it was now time for the BIG NOON MEET to celebrate 3 full years of MiceChat fun. The weather, however, was not on our side as the looming clouds posed a mounting threat of rain. The noon meet went on.

    he noon meet at 11:50

SuperStacie and I popped over to the Kodak photopass store to let them know that we would be having a large group pic taken at about 12:30. They said they were happy to help out but if it began to rain, they would have to get the cameras back inside.

During the meet I felt the first few drops of rain on my face and knew that time was running out for a big group shot in front of the castle. So with little time I sprang into action and spread the word that we were now to move to the castle.

    SCUbabe and co.

    StemeboatPete and daughter

    Sadako

    DisneyDan24

Instantly the large group of well over 200 MCers had assembled in front of the castle and...

    Tada!

The sky had now darkened and Dusty aske the group to finish the big noon meet at the hub as he had some wonderful prizes to give away and thanks to give to all the members who had made the past year so wonderful.

    Thanks guys!

Then the rain started. Pizza port was named the lunch place and the majority of us all went.

Then it got cold. Cold and very very wet.

Seeing as how the weather was not complimentary to outdoor activity the MiceChat crowd decided on a visit to the Opera House. It was dry and warm there and today was about taking it easy.

    Opera house!

I stopped by to say hi to my darling Cruella again.

It turned out to be a wonderful move. The exhibits were wonderful to lookat and seeing the movie again brought back such wonderful memories of the Magical 50th celebration.

We exited the Opera House and began our way up to Fantasia Gardens for the 3pm MC meet.

    ShockerBatman: The duck Whisperer

    Elly was chilly

    The ducks joined the party

    SnowWhiteRaven

    Polar Bears

    Ashee

    Mcow1 and Mary Read

Maynard stopped by to say hello

Me and the wife of my child

    Hubby55

3:30 brought the Buzz Lightyear Challenge meet This was too fun.

    Let's GO!

    Jeff stopped by

Then onto the Rumble in the Jungle meet First the tiki room then Jungle cruise.

We filled TWO WHOLE boats with nothing but MiceChatters. How much fun is that?!?!?

After the Jungle cruise things got a little crazy. While the second boat of MC'ers was still on the ride the rest were waiting and it began to POUR. Dusty sent the group on to New Orleans Square to wait.

5:30 rolled around and it was time for my two favorite rides in the park. Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion.

I got to ride Pirates with one of the sexiest women on MiceChat, Stinkerbelle.

(This is where my battery died)

After our ride on the Mansion we said goodbye and Dusty and I made our way home.

Thought the weather wasn't perfect the company was. Despite the rain there were plenty of sunny smiles. Thanks to all who braved the rain, braved the park and made MC and made the 3 year anniversary awesome.

    THE END!!!

Thank you, Fishy! You are most magnificent.

One of the best weekends ev-er!

What a lot of rain there was before and after Pirates. Buckets! But the rain did nothing to dampen the MiceChat spirit.

I will have to bring your child to see you soon, he misses you!

Another wonderfully enjoyable TR Fishy! Thank you for putting this up despite sickness and a busy life! Those of us who are far away appreciate it lots and lots. It's so wonderful to see beloved friend's smiley faces on my computer! And some how the Ralliversary Bug found it's way over here to Europe cuse I got it too after that weekend! Maybe it comes from wishing I could be w/ all of you being a MiceSlut! Looking forward to seeing some of you later this year when I get home for a visit!
