I was at the park today and business looked brisk and things were looking generally very good - - But then I took a ride on the Mark Twain.
Though the DL crew has made some real progress in spiffing up the park - - poor Rivers of America is home to some of the most un-cared-for robots I've ever seen at Disneyland!
The little dog who is on the log next to the Indian boy - - his shiny metal sketeton was sticking out from his tail and his neck, through the matted and torn fur. His neck was broken and his head was hanging, nose all the way down to the log, still nodding.
The deer were sadly faded. The Indian Village needed refreshment.
The bear had cobwebs and faded, matted fur - and was not moving a bit (he's usually rubbing his *** against the tree).
The gophers were not popping in and out of the train - or moving at all, also matted and worn.
The long still waterfalls are sadly missed.
(I didn't notice the condition of the settler's cabin).
Since these scenes are the backdrop of no less than three rides around the River - this level of disrepair is really unconscionable. I know they have had to set some priorities with all that needed to be done, but this is really sad. I was checking the faces of some of the kids on the packed boat and they notice these things - - please restore the illusion.
