    Water quality in the park

I try not to fill my canteen in the rivers of America whenever possible. But I have this debate with my wife about the water quality in the drinking fountains throughout the park, I'd bet my mouse ears it's better than Evian® or Dasani®, I'll bet they have good filters in the water fountains too. I'm trying to convince her we don't need to care bottled water.

Who's with me on this one?

I never drink from the fountains. I've seen people do to may foul things to them/in them...and the water tastes gross. I doubt the original water fountains from the 50's were fitted with filters.

I've always thought the water at Disneyland tasted great! No metallic taste (which is a good sign!) and I bet Disney filters it too.

Fountain water is free. I factored that in and voted fountain.

The water fountain should be fine. Long-term exposure to toxins should be considered more an issue than a few sips from a fountain.
Keep buying that faucet-dispensed bottled water, though.

we drink tap at home, but we recently did buy a filter for it and it makes a world of difference.

There are to many questionably people going to DL for me to trust their fountains. I mean after seeing a child pee in one....well, that did it for me....no fountains at DL!!

It is not the quality of the water I am worried about as much as I am the less than sanitary nature of the 'public' spigot.

Re: Water quality in the park

Not too long ago I posted a thread on how North and Central Orange County tap water now contains 30% reclaimed water which is sewage water that has been reclaimed, filtered, and put back into the drinking water supply.

The general concensus was that the tap water is still safe to drink. However if the thought of drinking water containing this type of water grosses you out maybe you might choose to drink the bottled water.

For cost purposes though I bring Costco water with me and refill it at the fountains. No big deal since I live in Orange County and have to drink the water anyway.

I have seen too many people allow their children to pee in the fountains and wash their kids behinds there while changing a diaper. It is not the water I am worried about, it is the bacteria and germs from what I see people doing in the water fountains. NASTY stuff!

She'd have to be hotter than that. If the 'hot' criteria was met, then maybe.

    You rock Fo'C'!

Really, water quality doesn't bother me one bit. If the water kills me then my lovely wife and kids will hopefully get $3,846 in a huge class action lawsuit.
