If you are at DL enough to see Space Mtn and complain about the dirt on the ROOF...you are going too often. I think that those of us in other states should go for a while, and give you locals a break, because you need one!

Not the roof. Well, okay, technically you could call it the roof. The sides of the cone. (Yes, it's a truncated cone, people, not a dome! Get it right, please! ) The part that you see when you look at Space Mountain. So it's very visible, very iconic, and at the moment, very dirty.

Truncated Elliptical Conic. Wow, my geek is showing.

I'm sorry, but when it looks like someone has done burnouts up and down the roofing it is time to clean it.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

Eesh, that's bad. Thanks for the pic, PhotoMatt. Looks like someone made skidmarks on each face with a motorcycle...repeatedly!

Truncated elliptical conic section. Yes, your geek is showing, but so is mine, and my geek is bigger than your geek.

My latest photo update has a picture of Space Mountain, but I did some serious retouching to make it look better. I was shocked at how bad it was. The walls around it's base (on the 2nd floor) are horrible as well as the big landing pad, that no one ever even walks on!

You can get to my photo update here:

It's almost all the way down at the bottom.

Please. It isn't even a matter of "complaining" - It's just simply bad show.

Heck, I'd donate ten bucks without saying a word.

    Very sadly true.

    BUT...

Also very true. I dislike unnecessary complaining, but this really is a problem. It's not something you have to be looking for to notice--it's pretty obvious.

I'd still give a kidney to live so close that I could see it that often!!!!

I know the feeling. For my entire life--up until the last half-year or so--I lived far enough away and with a small enough budget to only go once every couple years, and even that is a privilege compared to some people's trip frequencies. Now I get to go more often, which is certainly cool, but I'm not going every month or anything like that.
