Well, I had a little bit of a meltdown on Sunday, February 3rd. We had barely seen the sun the whole month of January, my dog died, my son is being tested for ADHD, just not a great month. So, my hubby told me to "book the trip". So, I immediately booked the Anabella hotel for February 5th-9th. We got the boys homework from school, I found substitutes for my tennis league and we ran from Idaho on Monday.
We spent the night in Utah on Monday and arrived in Anaheim around 4:30 p.m. And, it was sunny and beautiful.
It was all smiles the entire trip.
By the time we got unpacked - we had some time to head to DTD.
Yet another Build-A-Bear project
Legos! We never seem to buy anything, the kids just love the store.
We got up at were at the park by 9:30a.m. to go cruise Main Street - yes, both my hubby and I cried when we went through the gates.
The traditional "A" boys in the A.
First Ride - Big Thunder
Then over to Fantasyland for Dumbo
I did see a PirateMunkee wandering through Fantasyland - I shouted a hello and got a wave. I didn't want to be too obnoxious and run you down while you were working.
We finally got to ride Nemo - and it was cute and fun to be back on the subs, but I wasn't as thrilled as I thought I would have been. Still fun.
We had to ride Autopia, so my son could beat me up a little with his excellent driving skills.
The picture hubby took didn't turn out - I think he got the bumper of the car and the ground.
We won a dream - front row seats to Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. I recognized Bob as being a former monorail captain. We talked for a while and reminisced. Then he handed my hubby a certificate.
We did a ton more, but I won't bore you with all the details.
Day 2 was DCA -
The Orange Stinger - want a weird feeling, try to take a picture behind you while on this thing - major disorientation.
Climbing Wall in Redwood Creek
A first for me - the Magic of Brother Bear Show. Tyson got to help start the fire. He talked about it for days - he was so proud of himself.
A.J. was finally tall enough to ride the Maliboomer - he loved it
Tyson was finally tall enough to ride Screamin'. We rode it about 8 times over the whole trip.
More DCA fun.
My hubby and son fell in love with the Animation Academy - they went to about 5 lessons - while waiting, we ran into Thrax! Nice meeting you!
Day 3 - all the stuff we wanted to do again - or for a first time!
And DREAM FASTPASSES!!!! Not that we really needed them. But, still cool to win.
Leisurely ride on the monorail
My first trip to Tom Sawyer's Island with the Pirate Lair.
Buzz Lightyear - I won, of course.
It was a lovely trip - the medication I could have asked for.
