Re: Has anyone else tried RideMax?

I used it the first of May to escort a group of 12 girl scouts and 6 adults.

We got through the front gates at nine a.m., took a group picture with Mickey, and managed to visit Buzz Lightyear, Autopia, the Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, and Splash Mountain before one. We also ate at the Hungry Bear. I was the designated fast pass retriever and missed a few rides, but as an AP, it didn't bug me.

We also headed over to DCA, and experienced Tower of Terror, Soarin' Over California, Grizzly River Run, Mulholland Madness, and California Screamin' Roller Coaster. We also had ice cream as our afternoon break.

I had gotten fast passes for MM, but most of the girls decided to redo GRR as single riders, so the other girls that were wet enough by then got four rides each on MM.

This trip was for the girls' bridging ceremony, so we went to the Castle's wishing well around five and used the bridge by the Snow White grotto for that and presented each scout with a Tinker Bell retro pin.

We ended with a trip to Small World and a small shopping expedition and left around six p.m.

Fourteen rides with a fairly large group isn't bad. (Not as large as the carousel's party of 70, but still not bad.)

I tried to use it for the 5/5/05 week but I wasn't able to stick with it because of the crazy crowds and wierd schedulling of all the events. But luckly that day most of the rides were running pretty quickly. So didn't really need it. But I do plan on using on my next trip. I have heard good things. Plus they give you insider tips on secret stuff.

When I go to DLR I don't want to have every moment of my day mapped out. Especially when I'm with a group of people 'cause you know at least one person in the group is going to follow the schedule religiously and will really get bent if the schedule gets interupted. That's no fun and everyone else in the group will end up misserable. I think it's better to go in with an idea of what you want to do and see and just wing it. You don't have to worry if you get sidetracked by something new or different.
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

Talking Re: Has anyone else tried RideMax?

For myself, I've used the Unoffical Guide's plans in the back of their books since I discovered the texts. It was these texts that inspired/created (they recommend RideMax) the system.

The book's schemes do work, believe it or not. We went for a long weekend at DL and on the second day, my friend and I decided we'd give it a try, to see if the plan would work better then the flitting about we had done previously.

It did. We rode a majority of the rides on their listing by midday.

I still review the books before I go to DL. So if the books correlate to RideMax, then yes, they do work and, yes, I do recommend them.
