Disney better not let Hannah and Highschool Musical take over the parks.
only 25% of people would want to see those kind of shows/rides (if they build rides... hopefully not)
most people would rather see a good rollercoaster or dark ride

I agree. Keep Hannah Montana and High School Musical out.
Hear hear!!
Peace, Love, and Mickey Mouse!
they really don't have that big a pressence in the parks
DISNEYROYALTY
As Homer Simpson once said "Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything. 14% of people know that. "
I think the current amount of Hannah Montana and High School Musical in the parks is sufficent. I am sure some people want less or none at all, but if there was none 67.294% of preteen girls would be sad.
Dunno about how accurate your statistics are, but...I really have to agree, especially with the original park. ._. Mostly because they...both have nothing to do with that park's overall theme. They're way too...I dunno, outside world-ish, if that makes sense.
Hannah Montana has been the number one kids show across the country, and HSM has pretty much revived the Disney Channel.
Disney is a media conglomerate... why would they would not exploit their successes across their various entertainment venues to the last degree. It's not only what has made the company so successful, but in terms of marketing, cross promotion and synergy, it's what has made this company legendary.
Keep them out. PLEASE. If there were any sort of semi-reasonable thematic purpose for them being there, I'd be slightly less annoyed, but there simply isn't.
Meh. If it keeps lines down on attractions that i want to experience, go on ahead. The Fantasyland theater is not being used for anything is it?
And I take this mentality for parades, fireworks and Fantasmic!.
"Here You Leave the World of California Today and Enter the World of, um, er, California Today."
Well their merchandise is extremely hard to come by in Disneyland (20th Century Music is the exception) but as for shirts, plush, souvies and anything else HSM or Hannah Montana related you really have to venture over to DCA to find all of that.
As for an attraction based on these IP's? I'd find that an extremely strange fit anywhere in Disneyland. Most brand based tie ins somewhat fit the theme of the specific land they are in (i.e. they didn't put the Jedi Training in Critter Country...)
Class of 2005...
I highly doubt any HSM or HM attraction will come to Disneyland. DCA I'm not sure. I really don't think they are "taking over Disneyland". They are huge for Disney and they wouldn't even think of taking out the merchandise they currently have of them.
I personally don't think they have A LOT of HSM or HM related things in Disneyland really. It's not like there's a Hannah Montana statue O.o, now that would be a different story.
I can't even begin to explain how much I began to despise the first HSM movie after our trip to WDW in June. Every twenty minutes, the WildCat Pep Rally came through MGM. In a desperate attempt to get away from it, we got back in line for ToT. As we rode and came to the tope where the doors open, I could hear nice and clear off to my left, 'WildCats in the house!' and nearly threw up my lunch.
As of now, I do think some presence needs to be in the parks....in the form of merchandise. The Disney Channel as it is now is all the incoming generation knows and what they will understand. I know some of this first hand as I'm only 19 - I barely remember when they used to show the old black and whites at 1 in the morning, and had that Alice in Wonderland show with real people. (Of course, now that I'm older, I sought out all the good stuff for myself) I'd like to see a nice little shop dedicated to Disney Channel merchandise in each of the parks, and that's it.
Unless there already is. Then I'll feel really silly....![]()
