How many different songs are there? I'd like to see them add Ventura Highway by America, Route 66 by Nat King Cole, maybe even Hotel California by the Eagles (if that wouldn't be too over the top for a G-rated park)

I think that's all of them...Just under 47 minutes in length.
I vote for No Doubt's "Tragic Kingdom" or Gwen's "Orange County Girl"![]()
There should also be 2Pac's "To Live & Die in L.A." and "California Love"
Plus Phantom Planet's "California"
But on a serious note, do you think they're going to keep this music loop playing in the plaza after they do the renovations?
I'm sure the loop will be changed when the entrance is redone - many (all?) of those songs didn't exist when the period they're planning to represent did.
Incidentally, do they still play that one song from the DCA album right when the park opens anymore? I haven't been there at opening in years.
Please consider the environment before printing useless emails
To you Sugar Ray fans out there, I went to Jr. High and High School with Mark McGrath. We were in the same CCD class for two years. And we went to Knott's twice. To bad I didn't continue after high school -- maybe I wouldn't be stuck sitting in a cubicle all day long.
Anyway some songs that I think that relate to California and that should be added to DCA after the makeover that would be appropriate are:
1. California Here I Come (very appropriate since part of the new DCA is supposed to represent Walt's arrival in California)
2. I Love You California (California's state song)
3. When The Swallows Come Back To Capistrano.
4. Mexicali Rose
Just some songs off the top of my head. Oh -- and no Sugar Ray! :-p
