Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Disneyland has released the first information about this year's Food and Wine Featival. It will be from April 11-May 5, 2008.
They have some of the special events listed and you can buy tickets for some of the special events. But don't worry, many of the offerings are free. They even include seminars on beer for some others of you (you know who you are).
They do not yet have a list of the wineries that will be there, but I'm sure that they will list them soon at:
Disneyland.com/FoodAndWine
Hope to see some of you there!

Its always a fun event!!! And getting more popular every year. So remember, Signature Events require advance reservations! Get yours in early to avoid dissappointment!
Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
I've never been, but will be in the area during one of those weekends. What events would you recommend?
Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Thanks for this post!
Jeff and I will be at the resort when this is happening, hopefully we can fit something into our schedule :)
Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Various wineries hold free wine tastings and there are also free cooking demonstrations. They also have special food for sale to go with the wines. They're always fun.
Then there are seminars and wine dinners which are ticketed with an additional cost. Take a look at the website. They should have a list of particapating wineries up there soon.
I enjoy going to a wine tasting, getting a glass of wine and something to eat, then heading back for a second wine tasting.
I hope to get to one of Michael Jordan's talks, too.
There should be something for everyone.

Lynn,
You ALWAYS have the BEST posts!!! Don't think we can make it as my wife has started a new job. So my friend, it's up to you to have an extra drink of everything for Dawn and I. Yes, it's a formidable task, but I have every confidence. Please say hello for us to Michael Jorden. He has the best sense of humor! And that man KNOWS wine.
Darian, the man of many drinks
PS And Chad, you can be our tasting proxy. A worthy endeavor for a man of your tastes.

Hi Everyone!!
My first post...I am excited to be here.
I plan on going to this event. Since my birthday falls during spring break, I plan on going to the park sometime in April to avoid the crowds. I'll be sure to go to this event since eating and drinking are two of my favorite hobbies!!

Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Thanks for the warm welcome, and the link to the press release. It looks like May 3rd is the date I don't want to miss. However, the wine tasting class with Michael Jordan looks great. Ah, what the heck, I'll go twice!!
Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Michael Jordan is a Master Sommelier and a nice guy who gives very accessable classes. I'm going to try to go to at least one of his classes myself.
Be sure, however to leave time to taste their special food offerings and enjoy some of the free tastings and cooking classes.
Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
Signed up for May 3 food event. Really looking forward to it. Hope to see some of you there.
Re: Disney's California Food and Wine Festival
you know, i've always wanted to be a wine snob, but i can't go wine tasting because i'm underage :S
i wonder if i will be one in the future, though? this sounds like a lovely event; i'll have to go in a few years.
