    Fireworks show on 02/23/08

Were the fireworks cancelled on Saturday 02/23/08 (they were on the 22nd due winds)

We weren't able to go back to the park as my son felt ill around 6:00 that night. It was starting to rain. We all fell asleep around 8:00. There is a debate that we would have been awaken had we heard them.

Can anyone help me with this extremely trivial question?

I believe they were cancelled that night. My family and I were there that weekend, but did not hear any fireworks Saturday night. On Sunday the 24th, we got tired and went back to our hotel and could DEFINITELY hear the fireworks then! So, it had to have been cancelled on the 23rd.

Look at it this way. I live 15 miles away, and even then I can still hear the fireworks.

Chances are if you didn't hear them from your hotel room they didn't go off.

What he said. I was there that day and it was way windy and I called it at the beginning of the day that there would be no show that night.

Remember, Dreams come true!... and mermaids are hot, even on Halloween.

Thanks for all the feedback folks. My son was a little sad that his falling ill early that evening dampened our final day at DLR. We told him we had a very full vacation there and that we didn't miss anything we hadn't already done.

We were fortunate enough to catch part of one FW show (2/16) from the banks of the ROA near NO. and one night (2/18) from the Partner Statue.

This reminds me when I went in 1998. We were sleeping and thought the fireworks were gunshots so we hit the floor... Good times....good times.
