    My night shots

    Hi everyone,

I have never posted any pictures or trip reports but I am soo excited. I took my wife's digital camera to disneyland tonight and started messing with the manual settings. These are a few of the shots that I got.

    Larger versions are available here:

    Enjoy!

Very nice! Night shots are hard to get, no matter what kind of camera you use. I'd like to do more experimenting with my camera at Disneyland at night someday.

No but I need to get one. Half of them were with me holding the camera (Nikon D40 w/ stock lens) and the other half were me finding a hand rail to hold the camera against.

I love DL at night. Well, in the daylight too - can't wait to be there again.

Thanks for posting the beautiful pictures.

    Trash cans work well

    Re: My night shots

Don't mean to hi jack your thread just saw that you mentioned you used a D40 to take those pictures. I had just bought the same camera before our trip to DL & DCA back in Dec. I tried to get some cool night shots also and thought I would post up one for you review. And I agree with you a tripod is a must. I tried using everything from railings, walls and trash cans. I finally got this one right by leaning up against a wall and steading the camera on my 1 yr old son who was asleep in my arms. I was amazed that you would actually see the clouds (it was some what over cast rained the next day).
