Bob Gurr to get Main Street Window

MousePlanet is reporting that Bob Gurr will (finally!) be getting a Main Street Window on Friday, March 7th, at 8:00 am (before Park opening). Not sure where it will be.

He is amazing and truly deserves it!

He was so nice and so fiesty when I meet him last week. When I walked into the Blue Bayou he was telling us to go to the left or right. I almost walked into someone because I realized that Bob Gurr was seating us.

That's great news. Definitely deserving and a long time in coming. I wonder if they allowed him to be involved in the design, look, or fancy naming involved.

Bob Gurr basically designed "everything on wheels" at Disneyland (hyperbole, but close). All Main Street Vehicles (actually known as "Gurrmobiles"), Viewliner, original Monorails, Excursion trainset (with the forward facing seats), Autopia, Subs, Omnimovers, etc.

I kind of hope that legends don't get a say in their window design. I think it would more fun to be surprised with the fun way that Disney has found to immortalize you. Plus, how many people can you trust to be honest with their own tribute?
