Block Party Bash moving to Paris in 2 years?

I read in the paris section someone said they heard that in give or take 2 years block party bash would be moving to the studios. THAT IS SOOOOO STUPID! I personally hate this idea it would once again connect the parks. this is so dumb. keep it at DCA. let them think of something different on their own.

I think that was an opinion or a low rumor.. besides BPB would be better at DCA.. (or Disney MGM Studios...)

Re: Block Party Bash moving to Paris in 2 years?

If this was to actually happen, I could see it going to Walt Disney Studios Paris after it's tenure at DCA.

For one, it wouldn't really fit theme-wise at Disneyland Paris and plus, WDSP is in even more of a pit than DCA is right now. Perhaps the parade will be shipped over alongside the opening of a new attraction. (When does WDSP's ToT open?)

Now, I know many of you will say Disney should make a new parade for that park, and I believe they should. However, it is always more appealing to just ship the parade overseas and not having to spend too much more money for marketing. I'm sure those cones will be making an appearance in France.

Why woudl they ship it off though? Is it that hard to recreate if they have nothing better to put into DCA?

I don't know how you can believe a rumor like that. It's way too early to even think about when Block Party will leave DCA. They don't make decisions that far in advance.
How long Block Party remains will depend upon several factors, including whether Disney's Electrical Parade returns or not, and how attendance goes at DCA for the rest of the 50th Celebration.
DCAdude, maybe you should visit your favorite park more to help boost the attendance numbers. That might help keep Block Party there longer.

that could be possible if the parade arrive on the same year than the TOT that would be 2 DCA things in the same years at WDSP .

They could also build thier own "copy" of the parade. That rumor may be true but it doesn't have to mean that it will leave DCA. There are only three real floats and some toy block units. It would probably be cheaper to build it there on thier own then sending over floats that will be three years old and in need of refurbishment. Who knows?!

Re: Block Party Bash moving to Paris in 2 years?

Block Party Bash and Parade of Dreams were built and planned for a 5 year run.

Now, for Block Party, as Movingsidewalk said, depends on several factors.
    Money.
    Attendance.
will DEP return after its hiatus?
    etc.

The show is not an easy one to perform or put on. But if things go well, Block Party should stick around for a while.
Don't worry, it is not going anywhere for a long while.

not to stir the pot, but i heard that block party had already been sold to japan, and was expected to depart for TDS in '06 to be their fifth anniversary parade.

Im my opinion if its a hit, and it originated at a struggling park, then why not keep it there. Plus it will be DCA's 5th too so why not keep it there.

I would be very surprised if TDS uses BPB as an anniversary parade. It doesn't seem grand enough for that park. I could be wrong though.

It all sounds like rumours to me but one thing is for sure and that is that Block Party Bash is a hit with the guest.Sure it hasn't spiked attendance at DCA but neither did Tower of Terror.

One thing is that is certain is that the Block Party Bash concept is bound to make its way to another Disney park one day.But I don't see DCA's BPB going anywhere as it is a hit with the crowds, and with DCA thats something you want to keep.
