    Fantasmic Dessert Seating

Is there somewhere in the park to check if seating is available for that nights showings, and then be able to buy tickets?

Also, is it assigned seating, or can you sit in the section of your choice?
....You think your so powerful? Well this is my dream....

Are they even doing this since the suite opened? Or do they have another area for it?

There's not 'balcony seating' for the F! show since last October (we sat for one of the last seatings). But they do still have the premier seating down at the waterfront.

And yes, you can check on the day of the show, even moments before the show. There is usually a CM stand of some sort at the waterfront, the ticket takers, they can tell you if there are any available seats. But I have to imagine it usually sells out well before the day of show. I always buy them over the phone 30days before our arrival.

The CM's will escort you to your seat. It is not open seating. It's first come, first seated.

Is it worth doing the river seating? I wish I'd done the balcony previously, I just never did get to it!

    Re: Fantasmic Dessert Seating

I did it last July and couldn't see a thing, lol. If you do it, get to check in earlier than suggested by as much as you can 20-30 min and get the seats up front, I think more to the left suprisingly are the better seats. I sat one row back on the right ride, and in front was someones head, to the left was a space between that person and the the next person, and to the right was a gigantic stone pillar. It was sad to say the least. The little kids there had to stand on their chairs to see, but that was in my row (2nd). I went back to the rows in the back and could see everything REALLY well. So go for back row reats, not the next up behind front row. And I mean BACK, like the seats up against the wall. It was the difference betwewen night nad day. Their are seats seperate from the rows of charis, I went back there and thier was a Mom there with a stroller. The veiw was like 100 times better. I almost cried but was so happy to be able see the show...

Also, it was so worth it just for the goodies. OMG, what a ton of sweets, they double up on everything! And it's not stuff you can necissarily get at the bakery or something. It was all so delicious. Soft almond cookies that looked like minnie biscotties, raspberry pillow cookes (stuffed with rasp.) the size of your fist, chocolate strawberries... and more, times two! They totally want you to have enough to take home. I can eat and eat... but this was reddiculous.

It was so fun and it it's something important to you, I'd get my reservations 30 days ahead. Although to walk up and get what seats remain, you might be suprised in actually seeing the show. Remember Front Row or furthest back, but not 2nd, 3rd, etc...

I'm sure this is posted somewhere on Disney's site or another thread but while we are on the topic, how much does this cost?

This can tell you if there is available seating, but they cannot sell you tickets right there. That has to be done at guest relations. The shows don't always sell out, usually the second show has more empty chairs.
The dessert box changed in late December or early January. It's no longer just a box of sugar, it's bigger and it has grapes and crackers in it along with some other desserts. I haven't gotten one of the new ones yet, but I often stand in close enough proximity to see whats in them, if I'm in that section tonight I'll attempt to pay more attention to the contents

Last I heard it was $55 and $65

You can go to City Hall the day of to find out if they have seats available and for both showings it is advised to get to the podium by 7PM to pick your seats and then you come back later to actually get seated... Do NOT show up 20 to 30 mins before your showing to grab seats because all that will be left is the crummy seats... Like I said 7PM for BOTH shows....

i did it on january 2, and i loved it! we made our reservations 30 days prior to the show. i would definitely recommend it for a one time thing just for the experience. the desert was great and i have a picture of the box somewhere...i can probably get the picture up later tonight. we got there a little late to pick our seats, but still we had great seats. we sat on the third row in the section closest to the middle.

    Re: Fantasmic Dessert Seating

We had someone complaining about having to wait and sit on the ground one time. People kind of got tired of it. So I finally said, "Go check out those seats over there. They paid $60 for em. And ask what's in the boxes." She comes back giggling and laughing her head off. Didn't complain again.

The Fantasmic seating package at DLR is without doubt one of the top 5 biggest rip offs on any Disney property if not #1.
