My (HUGE) first trip report! 3/13/08-3/17/08 *video too!

My friend Sara and I recently took a trip down to Disneyland with my dad! Here's my first trip report, and just as an fyi it may be rather lengthy...

And after adding up all of the hours spent at Disneyland, we spent 60 hours in the park and 17 hours sleeping. How? I'm not sure. So in a sense, this report is in a nutshell compared to how much we really did. We stayed from opening till closing every day!

We woke up at 3am Wedensday morning. Here's LA from our plane



Finally, around 11am, we got to the park!

The we went to CA to make reservations at Ariel's Grotto. We stopped in at off the page though...

and wow this thing was SO fascinating, especially when it turned on





DAY 2

First off, we went to the fantasy faire...



Belle was so sweet and talkitive!








After that we had a rest in front of the castle on one of those benches when we heard someone yell "EVERYONE SAY HI TO ERIN AND SARA!!!!!" and we turn to see a car full of people waving at us...

(this was taken afterwards, though)


It was really hilarious. Later, while waiting for the mini marching band show in front of the castle, they asked us (in front of a large crowd) to come out and do a dance for everyone. At that point the crowd was yelling our names to go out and do it =D

And how did they learn our names?

After that we had our lunch at Ariel's Grotto!



Went to the teacups...



Then we stopped by Snow White's well







After that it was mostly rides/eating/rides/ and just generally wasting time and running around the parks.

DAY 3

We saw Alice and the Hatter on main street, it was so cute!



We went on rides for a while, then we went to go see the Aladdin show



Later on we went back to Disneyland to watch the parade

DAY 4

This was probably one of my best days ever spent at Disneyland. We had our Magic Morning (woke up at 6 and got to the park at 6:45, got in at 7). It was gorgeous, and empty!





Sara took this of me! I had the castle allllll to myself =]


We went on the Matterhorn (my first time ever!), Teacups, Pirates, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and Peter Pan all in the spance of an hour thanks to ALL of them being walk-on!

Someone walked past us while I was taking this and said "now THAT'S something to remember!' (space mountain)

what can I say? it was early and I like A LOT of coffee (or tea I should say)


Then we went and got our hair done at the Fantasy Faire!




After that Sara and I continued our search for Peter Pan (I didn't talk about this before, but my friend who works at the park had been trying to help us find him the ENTIRE time we were there)

Then he finally came out but was MOBBED



We saw Bri-chan too! It was really cool. (no photo, didn't want to be weird)

After following at a safe distance from the attack-strollers and teenaged girls (ok, we're teenagers too, but we weren't screaming and shoving autograph books into his face) we finally got to get a photo with him!

Funny story behind this too, the lady we asked to take it held down the button for so long that it took about 7 photos. Peter said 'Oh great, now we have a million!'


Sadly I forgot to hold up my hat like Sara did! XD

Hook went and poked my hat after the photo and just when I was going to say something Peter said "Why would she want [FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']your [/font]hat? It wouldn't even fit both of their heads together!" then he looks at me and says "they already have hats, anyway" then he slowly looks back at hook and really loudly says "What a MELON!!!"
At that point I couldn't stop laughing and turned around so I could get out of the line, but Sara was still there so I turned around and Peter was laughing at me XD then he saw my Ariel purse and asked
Peter- so, did you bring me anything??
Me- Well, I brought you this hat but... (peter pan hat)
Peter- That's ok, I already have one, but thanks alot!
Then I started laughing again, and so did he XD It was hilarious and I wish I could've recorded it!

The day was so beautiful!



After the Peter Pan visit, we went to Tom Sawyer's island...





Leaving the island, we got to see what the day was going to turn into





We caught a small glimpse of the parade again later on



After all of that we spent the rest of the night going on rides and ate at the Blue Bayou with my dad. It was great!

DAY 5

We only had about 2 hours at the park this time, but we got a few rides in...

We had coffee and breakfast.. later on Jamba Juice.. then had to say goodbye

It was such a fun trip, I'm so blessed and grateful that I got to go again with my best friend!

Very entertaining TR! I LOVE the picture of Main Street with the beautiful blue sky, white poofy clouds and the sun rays peering through the top! Also, the CALIFORNIA collage is very creative. I'll have to remember that one!

Adorable trip report - and how awesome to get to go with your best friend. You guys are so cute, and it looks like you had a terrific time.

At the risk of sounding dorky - those matching Ariel handbags are the cutest things I've ever seen, and I'm glad I'm not the only one - I have matching Mickey/Minnie bags for my sister and me when we go in July. Cheers!
