Depends on the parade/part you want, but for the most part... yes. After all, a Disney parade is basically a dance routine that travels down the street. Still, it never hurts to try!
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?
What parts could you get with-out the experience, in all the parades (mainly MSEP)?
Many years ago my daughter (who was working at Disneyland at the time) and her friend auditioned for characters (fuzzies). Even auditioning for that, they had to dance (since some of the characters do dance in the parade)
So, part of the audition was dancing. If you haven't had any experience with dance or choreography to start with, it would be really hard to even make it past the first part of the audition. They have people audition that have semi professional experience, with modeling experience, head shot books and previous experience in dance/theatre. Unless you're really talented, its hard to compete with that kind of experience.
