Well, I've had this idea in my head of creating a Hi-NRG Electronica soundtrack that you would listen to while on Space Mountain with an Mp3 player.
It all started last summer. I heard the original music a million times, and It's good but, you know... it sorta got old to me. So I brought my iPod onto the ride, played a gabber track (super fast techno) and cranked up the volume all the way, held my earbuds in place, and it was awesome. I put my iPod in my backpack and zippered it shut but left enough space for the headphone cable, if you're wondering how I did that.
But anyways, I have the synthesizers and drum machines and creativity and brains and whatnot to make this, so do you guys want me to? It would take maybe until summer, but I have the official new and old soundtracks, so I could use those like some sort of guide, to show myself where stuff should go.
The only issue is that I think that on the ride, the soundtrack might change according to where the train is on the track, and the CD version is just all of these parts mixed together, but all in all I would make my soundtrack last the entire duration of the ride, dramatic choral intro and all.
If you guys want me to do this, I'll whip up a quick demo when my Mac is fixed, and you guys can tell me what you think. Then I'd start the main project.
I can't make it out there this summer, so you guys would have to tell me how it worked out.
I hope this sounds like a good idea. However I can't be held accountable for missing iPods in space.
