Re: California Adventure Food and Wine Festival '08

I'm not sure if DCA could really support an event as big as Food and Wine at EPCOT. I mean, EPCOT has all the room in the world, the booths (for the most part) aren't in the way and with World Showcase, it just works because you don't have rides everywhere.

I'm not so sure a big event with the booths, etc would work. The smaller event seems to work better for DCA.

I think they could, The best thing to do would be to place all the booths along the parade route from the suncourt area down to Boudin bread tour.

During the event they could easily start the parade from the Wharf gates since that will eventually be its new starting point once construction is done.

Of course all that would be under construction next year

I'm looking forward to it. I've never been able to attend any classes in the past, but I hope to enjoy a couple of events this year!

I can't wait for the Wine Tasting Classes with Michael Jordan. I met him on the Disney Cruise Line Transatlantic cruise and went to all his tastings there. I signed up for all 4 of his classes here after he mentioned each one would be different. Can't wait for Sunday.

Waiting with baited breath for the 'Taste of California Marketplace' menus! Anyone have any info yet? We had the best lobster quesadilla 2 years ago. Hoping that might come back. Going on Monday to pig out!

I've never done the Taste of CA Marketplace. Do they have different items on each day?

I found this article on the OC Register site mentioning something about lobster lollipops???

Not usually. It's 10 or so tapas/appetizer style foods using uniquely California ingredients. Each one is paired with a wine/beer. It's fun to try all the different things. You can get them at the Lucky Fortune Cookery, but this year other counter service places will be offering them as well.

Sounds good so far... risotto, cheese soup, and lobster anything (even lollipops!). Can't wait to see the menu. Thanks for the heads up.
