    And me

I had nothing to compare to, since I had not previously been to one of the Wine Receptions, but I had a fabulous time. The cms were so wonderful, the wine was fabulous and the food was delicious. The braised pork, YUM!! And the company was spectacular. But, the set up for the food was quite frustrating. From what my tablemates said, it defintely sounded like last year's was a much better set up.

Also, we tried the tenderloin slider, the mushroom risotto and the lobster lollipop also. The slider and the risotto were absolutely delish! The lobster was good too, but I would've liked more

We just got back from the Food and Wine festival at California Adventure. Had a blast. Drank a bit to much wine and had some really delicious food. The big hit for us was the tenderloin slider and the lobster lollipop (which is a lightly fried lobster on a stick) - the cheddar soup and wild mushroom risotto were also very good. We look forward to visiting again next weekend and attending the wine reception!

Glad you had a good time today! Not going to the reception next weekend, but I am hoping to hit some of the stuff for the day...including a couple of the tastings. Hope to see you there!

For tastings of food and wine, usually if you get to the venue at least 30 mins before you can make it in and get tastings. Some lines for Special Guest Chefs have started more than an hour in advance. I have been to several demos that were full at least 15 mins before they let you in to sit down in the show area. I have also been to several where people could not get in to sit down (even though there were open seats, they arrived after the show started) but watched from the sides and were given tastes by the CM's. Talk to the CM hosts to see where lines start and where to get your number. After you get your number, your party is supposed to wait in line but you can send someone out for food or drinks. Some (even some food) tastings require ID for wristbands. This next Saturday is Guy Fieri so expect the Foodies to be out in force and lines to fill early and be long. Midweek is much less crowded and really much more pleasureable. Bon Appetite!

We visited last Friday night and it was pretty great. I have to 2nd the awesomeness of the lobster lollipop and the slider wasn't bad either. The strangest thing we had was the chilli/cheese infused corndog from Corndog Castle which was completely dilicious. Hopefully we'll be back this Friday to keep working through the tasting menu.

A-ha! Thought I saw some Micechatters on Sunday. I was there with my roommate and family who hadn't been in about 10 years! So it was all so new and different to him. We had a great time too; however did not make it into the wine seminar! GRRR its ok though because we spent plenty of time at the Vineyard Wine Bar LOL. Yes, the beeftenderloin slider was great but the hummus was the best I have ever had! I really hope they continue this next year it is so much fun!
