50th Merchandise Question

After waiting in extraneously long lines, as any good fan did on the 17, we were given a chance to buy merchandise that was limited edition and such, things that could only be bought on the actual birthday. My co-worker and fellow line-waiter was in the park on the 18 and noticed the birthday merch wasn't there and when she asked a CM, they said it was a one day sale only and that it would be offered to CM's and then destroyed. OK. At the park yesterday I noticed a cube with the mugs and T-shirts, and then found the gold sparkelie slide-looking pin, TONS of them. 11 hour line? What's the deal?

In the parks they're still selling, mugs, shotglasses (excuse me... toothpick holders), and the Walt pin. I think they pretty much gave up on the white fitted shirt. Bet all of those are on their way to Company D.

I think the only "exclusive" item was the "I was there" pin. Possibly the 50 dollar bill (way out of my price range), but the pin was worth the wait.

BTW, what is Company D?

CM-only store. But there's an equal chance that some of them went to the Character Warehouse, which is open to anyone. It's off Harbor just north of the 91, in the same center as Michael's.

Thanks, and we have definitely got to check out the Character Warehouse next time. Back east we had a store in one of our malls for a while that sold Disney merchandise at great discounts. Lots of DCA stuff, which of course we bought not knowing, but some cool items nonetheless. We did get some great Disneyland embroidered T shirts that way.
