agreed when it comes to the arms. im a medium and body wise its fine, but the arms are too short so i always pull on them. a large would be weird in the shoulders. also medium seems to be the least ordered. they run out so fast. my last jacket, mediums were out in a week and i checked the world of disney for a month and they never came back. only had L,XL and XXL. i finally ordered it from walt disney world over the phone and they were on a month wait back order. they finally arrived tho.

this is my favorite jacket. i think its the last of clean and simple. i've had it for about 6 years now. nothing on the back. just a simple mickey mouse club patch. but i dont wear it anymore. its starting stretch so im trying to save it. another grip about clothing, I promise its the last one, is everything is going polyester. my mickey mouse club is 100% cotton. and i've seen this rise rapidly lately. my first post here with the photo above, the disneyland jacket is 20% Poly and the most recent jacket, grey vintage mickey, is %80 poly. i know its to save a buck but i really wish they didnt do this.

i tried to make my own mickey mouse club jacket like my black one but i cant find a mickey mouse club patch. i've looked. maybe i just havent found the right place. that way i can get a nice 100% cotton jacket and slap a patch on it.

anybody know of some good disney patch retailers?

Re: Why do most Disney Mens Jacket look terrible?

You know what's funny is that I spoke to many of the folks in marketing in TDA some time back and the topic of apparel came up a lot. I always told them that they never had anything GOOD that men would want to buy. All they ever do are ugly golf shirts and then the "hey, i just went to Disneyland and bought this shirt" shirts.

Their response would always be that they don't sell enough.

Always made me so frustrated because it would come back to the point of them not selling enough because THEY DON'T LOOK GOOD. And if you make crap for too long, they'll know to not even look anymore.

They really are lost. I even told them not to do "i survived" tshirts for tower of terror. Just because they're at a theme park doesn't mean they want something so tacky to take home.

Yes, that is one of my all time favorites, and i did get that one.

As for men's clothing, merchandising needs MAJOR help. I don't
need too many jackets, here in Arizona, but I do look for shirts.
Most of the shirts have Grumpy on them, and I don't think most
men are Grumpy fans ~ it's just frustrating that Disney doesn't
get it with mensware.

I agreed with you on the character there Aladdin. I which they add more character besides. Mickey,Grumpy,Dopey,Goofy. I'm a Donald Duck fan and a Genie fan beside the Princess as you guys know but I very seen any shirt or Jacket with Donald,Tigger or Capt. Hook or even Prince Phillip on them.I was lucky enough last year of finding the Donald Duck sweat jacket I got before they change it into Tigger.

This is the sweat jacket I'm talking about. It the best picture I have. In the front it said Donald and in the back has a picture of Donald.

Yes, good point about characters. Men... we really don't need the characters. If I had my preference, I'd like to wear simple fashionable jackets with only the classic Disneyland logo on them. You know... like the cast members did.

Re: Why do most Disney Mens Jacket look terrible?

this goes for 98% of disney merchandise itself. Its all crap. There putting to much effort into pins and not enough into everything else.

I may be going to hong kong disneyland this summer maybe they will have nicer stuff.
Im sure Dland Paris has nice stuff!

Re: Why do most Disney Mens Jacket look terrible?

I wanna know why Disney doesn't have any men's clothes that are bigger than 2X!? I wear 2XLT or 3X and the clothes are just a bit too tight. I want to buy stuff when I'm at the park. I am not in total agreement with the OP about the men's jackets. But, none of the jackets fit me. They are missing out on a huge market by not providing these sizes. I'd say probably 25%+ of the people I see at the park are bigger in size. Why does Disney not have clothes for us, too?

I've thought about this and IMO it probably comes down to the cost to manufacture the clothes vs the amount they will sell. Lets be honest, of course Disney wants your money. But if they can make more money by only selling up to 2x because they're easier for the factory in China to make, then they will.

I know that mens XL and even the L shirts sell well because when you go to the character outlet, those are the hardest to find.

Back to the subject...It'd be cool to see a kind of create your own jacket. Have a plain leather, or cloth jacket. And then provide a good selection of patches (big, small, letters, logos, characters, etc) that you could have them apply to the jacket in the positions you wanted.

Re: Why do most Disney Mens Jacket look terrible?

I agree that most of the jackets and sweatshirts have sucked in the past but I've noticed a lot of really fashionable and incredibly interesting sweatshirts around the park recently. My brother-in-law and sister got me this sweatshirt seen in the photo below that I adore. Its an awesome design, doesn't stick out like a sore thumb and has an awesome hidden mickey!

Guess Disney is making merchandise more "relevant" for today's audiences...
