There has been an amazing amount of chatter about Small World being sacred and should not be changed. This leads me to my point is there any other ride at Disneyland that is sacred like It's A Small World? If so what is it?

Good question. If you are talking about sprucing up or plussing a ride anything is fair game. Changing things entirely is a whole different question. Adding Disney Characters like in Small World is a 3rd option. I guess the answer is what's your definition of Change?
Tiki Room. I really love that attraction and jungle cruise..... that rumor about timon and pumba better just be a rumor as well as that nicholos <sp?> cage movie version i better not find a AA of Nick cage in the jungle or we are going to have issues.
Nothing is THAT sacred.
NOTHING.
Disneyland isn't a museum. Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion or Small World are NOT the Mona Lisa.

I don;t think there is anything that I would say could never be plussed, but it would depend on the attraction and the planned changes. Making dramatic changes to enhance an attraction in a positive manner will always be subjective, many acceptable..so it just depends.
Take Sleeping Beauty walkthrough which if its ever opened I believe will need to be very different because I heard a lot of the props are no longer there. If they would have closed it and did an immediate refurb and made lots of changes I probably would have been upset, the fact that that stuff is gone and its the only option, I would just be happy to have it back.
A little piece of heaven
The proposed changes to IASW are bad, not because the ride is sacred and should not be touched, but because the proposed changes are incompatible with the theme of the ride.

You're right--they're better!Pirates of the Carribean, Haunted Mansion or Small World are NOT the Mona Lisa.Well, the first two, at least.
They are in the world of theme parks.
I'm up for change on any Disneyland attraction. I loved the pirahnas on Jungle Cruise - much more exciting than the "rapids," IMHO. I would just ask that the Imagineers keep in mind the entire attraction and not just making the one scene they're changing more exciting. The new bride on HM does more than the old one, but there was a quietly creepy, tragic tone to that scene in the ride that worked in positive contrast with the wackiness of the rest of the ride, and that is gone now.
However, I am completely against the addition of pre-existing Disney characters to any original ride in DL. Just about everything they have planned for the near future is movie-based, I don't want to see them hacking away at the originality DL has already got. In DCA, where the "original" theme is not fully established on many rides, I'm willing to consider it.
For me, "sacred" has nothing to do with it. Being unwilling to accept change has nothing to do with it. Don't touch Walt's stuff has nothing to do with it.

Oh i totally misunderstood the question i thought it was about adding charaters/elements to an attraction that don't belong or never existed within the attraction.
Cause seriously i am all for plussing any and all attractions as long as the theme is not compramised.
It's not about rides being sacred, it's about misplaced commercialism. POTC was ok because the Jack Sparrow and Barbossa animatronics fit the story and theme, but Disney characters in IASW don't further the theme, but rather detract from it.
Changes that make the ride new permanently. For Example adding and subtracting something to a ride. So change would be additions and subtractions in my mind.Good question. Well, that's debatable. Myself and others view the new substories to be mostly harmless until the final scene, when Jack gets the treasure and the whole grim message of the attraction is shot to pieces...or, more to the point, not shot to pieces the way it should be.POTC was ok because the Jack Sparrow and Barbossa animatronics fit the story and theme
