i would be in favor of either a beauty and the beast dark ride or (perhaps more realistically) aquatopia. As I recall that attraction doesnt need too much space and could easily be themed to fit into the fantasyland mold.

The water there is very nice and add a relaxing, pleasant feeling to Fantasyland. Normally Fantasyland is so chaotic with all the children running around.

I would not make this area into another ride. I would convert this to an area themed to Bel's town in France with a French style restaurant with water all around it.

(If I had the budget, I would have some animated characters like Cosworth and Lumier on the walls who would come to life at different times to give a brief show.) Of course the walls would be lined with books!

France does boarder Switzerland so having the Matterhorn there seems to make sense.

What about putting back the Skull Rock eating area and the ship restaurant that are now in Yesterland? I have no idea why they would take those out to begin with?! I'm sure they had their reasons but that seems like a nice atmospheric addition to the area.

I am not sure that it was their intention to take that out. What I heard was during the renovation of Fantasyland, they were taking it back to Disney Studios to be worked on when it fell of the truck on the Freeway.

I think that the ship idea was very fun for kids and adults. The problem was that they only served tuna sandwiches because it was sponsored by Chicken of the Sea.

I say get Oscar Meyer to sponsor it and serve hot dogs! or cold cuts. That is more kid friendly fare.

Nice boat ride floating passed memorable moments from the Fantasia films is something I would like.

Build a large show building for a dark ride and a walkthrough type attraction themed to the disney villians (a dungeon maybe? what happens to those villians AFTER the story is over???). Include a restaurant with premium second story balcony seating for viewing of the parades and firework projections onto small world.

I'm thinking of ideas that are actually more realistic. It would be cheaper for them to bring back the Skull Rock grotto and Ship Restaurant under new sponsorship then to generate a completely new attraction. I like hearing the ideas though. Some of them are ones I've had over the years. Great Disney minds must think alike!

How about letting the creative folks at Pixar and imagineering just come up with a cool ride without putting the breaks on for cost. Tell them it needs to be timeless like the Haunted mansion and the pre-capt jack POTC. Give them the space limitations and clearances and go for it!

I have every confidence they could come up with something good.

I like Jiminy's(sp) more specific idea for belle's town(I said something like it) but now I think(not that i'd rather have this than belle's town) but who would like to see an "Alice's curious labyrinth" from Disneyland paris?

While it would be really nice to see it, I think we need to be careful not to over populate Fantasyland with Alice in Wonderland. Remember, it's Fantasyland... not Wonderland. We already have Mad Tea Cups, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter shop, and now It's a Small World.

    Re: Motor Boat Cruise land

well i have an idea to mix the nemo ride and the little mermaid ride. well as you to off ride along a glass wall that shows the nemo ride underwater like an aquarium to show life under the sea and maybe see a sub pass by haha and go on with the story from there but i think that will never happen since nemo is already completed and the mermaid hasnt even started but i think that would be a heck of a view
    duh!!!!!!!!
