No Haunted Mansion Holiday?

I was looking through some vids on youtube and one person commented on a Haunted Mansion Holiday vid that they weren't going to be doing it this year!? Please someone tell me this isn't true!

I really need to get down there to check it out and if its already gone I will cry!

Oh god, I hope they don't do HMH yet again. Nothing new in it for years and years, and it screws up the regular Haunted Mansion.

But they probably are doing it because they sell lots of merchandise, and merchandise is the name of the game!!!!

I realize some people don't like it when they "mess" with a classic but I LOVE The Nightmare before Christmas.

I checked out Disney's site and Halloween special events still lists the HM getting changed so hopefully it still is. Gives me more incentive to get my butt down to CA this fall though just in case it won't be there in '09.

But really, this rumor pops up every year. I would suspect that Haunted Mansion Holiday will return this year. It pushes too many Jack Skellington t-shirts and Zero plushies to go away anytime soon.

"Halloweentime" is a MAJOR Marketing push for the Walt Disney Company.

HMH WILL be coming back, opening September 19th, based on my knowledge.

Since I'm not a local, I've yet to see HMH and I do want to. However, I'm torn about the idea. It means that when I do eventually get out to see it, my favorite ride will basically not be there as it will be in quite a different state. I just have this feeling that while I might like it, I'll be missing the regular version too much.

I like it because it is the only Haunted Mansion that my little ones will ride because it's not as scary.

They won't even go on the scary(er) version at all.

Maybe it won't go in this year. Maybe -- just maybe -- HM will go into extended refurb and will get Florida's changes?

After all, next year marks HM's 40th anniversary...

I would hope that for Mansion's anniversary, we could get a clean mansion for the entire year. But then again, Matterhorn is 50 next year, and I bet they won't do anything to that either.

I like HMH, but it grows old fast. I don't find it to be a timeless classic like the regular HM is. Personally, I'd be happy if it went away, just because my DL trips tend to happen during the HMH run.
