The segment just ended... Unsurprisingly, WDI failed to address the issue yet again.

This is NOT about aesthetics -- we know that they're going to make the additions look like Mary Blair's work -- that is NOT the issue.

The issue is that the characters simply don't fit the theme of the show -- not the aesthetic theme, but the theme in terms of message and intent.

But Disney just isn't willing to address that concern. They keep coming out and saying the same old "Disneyland is not a museum" and Walt Disney liked change with a lot of buzz words like "relevance."

And as for the America scene -- the KCRW host said "By the way, about that Papua New Guinea rainforest scene and whether it will be replaced with a themed display called 'Up with America,' Kim told me that no firm decision has yet been made."

UGH, basically Happy Happy Talk, just when you thought you might get a piece of real news, more Happy Happy talk....

Of course, after the interview, the host states "no firm decision" about the change to remove the Rainforest section... Would have loved to hear it from Ms. Irvine directly...

Had to love the "laugh" from Ms. Irvine about the larger "bottoms" of the guests... A great "non-answer"

If Disney is going to come out and "break down" the rumors and address the concerns like they've been doing, then they should actually do it. What they've been doing is nothing more than repeating themselves and hoping that we forget that they aren't actually answering the questions we're asking.


Oh, and Liver -- maybe you should tell Kim what guests are entitled to...

You know what I want in regards to "small world".

A new Flume

New boats

The roof of the building repaired

The electrical, lighting, sound, Air Conditioning and related items replaced and upgraded (a major cost savings to Disney with new "Energy Star" items in the long term).

And the ORIGINAL attraction restored. Many "dolls" have disappeared, Geese, Belly Dancers, and MANY more.

PLEASE do those things FIRST.

And if Disney thinks its needs to do more, please do it "tastefully", because if the changes are not "up to snuff", you know that MANY folks (and websites) will show the "mistakes".

But I want LESS Paper Mache, and more "Mary Blair" style dolls! (Many "traditional" dolls have been replaced over the decades by Paper Mache
