I cruised by the Timon Parking Area tonight on my way into the parks and noticed a section of the lot is torn up. Its a strip closest and parallel to Katella Blvd. Could this be the start of the DCA expansion and Carsland?

And so it begins...maybe.
It is work to increase electrical supply to the GCH/DVC expansion and the DCA expansion. It is a sign of things to come, but nothing major yet.

I'll just have to dream and hope that it's a sign of construction for Radiator Springs Racers! I love Test Track and if this has the same ride system I know I'll enjoy it.

First off, I am NOT a Cast Member, or have ever worked for the Walt Disney Company, to make that clear.
I am currently a "reporter" for Theme Parks including the Disneyland Resort. I do get comments from many CM's who wish to spread some news, but want to remain anonymous. As a "Media" person, I have no legal obligation to let the Walt Disney Company know what is sent in my e-mails and phone calls, based on the First Amendment.
But Disneyland is part of my "speciality", and I know a lot about what is going on. Heck, for example, a couple of the current Front Line Monorail CM's ask me what is going on in regards to the Mark VII's.
I don't know everything, and rely on many folks to help me report the current "news" about the parks.
But there are folks like me, a main one is Al Lutz, who founded MiceAge, and goes back over 10 years, he is the "Dean" of Theme Park Reporting....

I wonder what this means for my favorite hotel? Will I still be able to jaunt over to the park, or wil I have to walk the long way around? I wonder f their rates will go down-- that would be cool.

Even though I'm very interested to see how all this turns out, I can't say that I'm 100% excited with the decisions made on themes. Adding some sort of Disney movie character to everything isn't the way to go, in my opinion.
