    Fantasmic Merchandise (or lack thereof)

Hello Micechatters.....during my last trip to the park, I fell in love all over again with Fantasmic, especially with its new refurbishment. However, I started thinking about how I would love to buy a Fantasmic poster or t-shirt, or pretty much anything Fantasmic! For a show that costs tens of thousands of dollars a night to produce, you'd think they would want to sell some merchandise to help subsidize it!! Anybody else notice this?

Yeah. I know a lot of people who would love Fantasmic! merch for a birthday present or something, too...people who don't even go to the park as often as I do. I do think it's rather strange.

Re: Fantasmic Merchandise (or lack thereof)

I just did a search on ebay out of curiosity to see what was out there. There's posters, pins & buttons, soundtracks, postcards, and shotglasses.

Not a lot of Fantasmic merch. In fact.. I think there was MORE merchandise for Light Magic in 1997 than there ever was for Fantasmic! like tshirts and jackets and what not.

I think Disneyland should cut with the "disney parks" and "2008" crap that is filling all the stores and show some love to the attractions that people do love and would pay for.

And I think the Fantasmic! poster should be in the entrance tunnel more than fireworks.

I remember when Fatasmic first opened. They had some merch back then, I have the CD, the poster, the shirt (ok I got the one when they came out but of course grew out of it, but about a year of ebay watching finally payed off last year) and I have a tote bag with the same design as the shirt (my mom has the tote up in NorCal)
But I heart my shirt eventhough its too big I still love the original design.

    We need Fan! Merch!!!!!

Wow! I love your shirt! It's too bad we have to resort to ebay now! I wish at least they would add a Fantasmic! poster to those electronic print-your-own kiosks they have throughout the parks.

Re: Fantasmic Merchandise (or lack thereof)

Truth be told, there really is no attraction specific merchandise to speak of at Disneyland outside of the Ride Photo locations. Most everything in regards to the Haunted Mansion, actually has to do Nightmare Before Christmas the movie. POTC has some stuff, but it is completely dwarfed by movie merchandise.
From working in the stores what do you think the 2 most common things I get asked for everyday? It's not attraction merchandise.
Hannah Montanna and High School Musical. Disneyland puts forth what sells. Attraction specific is going be relegated to that market. Collectibles.

When I saw Fantasmic two trips ago at WDW, I bought a cup that said Fantasmic on it and it had all of the villians that were going to be in the show.
