With an all new Fantastic Voyage movie coming out in 2010 I would really like to see an all new Adventure thru Innerspace ride back in tomorrowland maybe going inside the body this time and no Bodywars motion sim ride either!
Its about time they remade this movie and with all the latest medical info and cgi efx it should be awesome and its getting a big budget treatment from Fox.
I loved ATIS and I want it back or something like it only updated and exploring inside the human body instead of just a drop of water this time would be awesome.
Heres a concept you start out in the queue line in a futuristic med lab with screens of cgi microscopic creatures as the pre show you enter a cool larger room with AA scientists where the big miniaturization microscope is and you ride in two person mini sub vehicles (actually they dont even need to be enclosed "sub" because on this nano scale water molecules wouldnt even be able to get in thru the opening!) as you go thru the body you use buzz lightbeer like laser guns to zap the baddies like viruses etc only this should be a top e ticket quality ride none of this painted 2d playwood crud buzz litebeer has in it...also the vehicles can be rotated and maybe they can sway a bit with efx for when you miss the bad microbes and they get to attack your sub...
alternately it could be not at the nano scale but at the micro scale with giant AA bugs attacking maybe on the outside of the skin or on any surface to show all the germs we live with
this could be a uber cool and fun ride and be chock full of edutainment stuff and in the obligatory exit gift shop there could be popup 3d glasses books on germs etc and plushie made in china germy monsters and flashing light with noises mini sub toys
in fact they should just strip down buzz and chuck all the plywood characters and put this ride in instead :-)
I know about Bodywars at EPCOT in fact I had started on a game for it for Disney but it was cancelled. And I got to ride it it was ok but I dont want to see a silly star tourse like sim ride even if it was in 3D it should be more of a E ticket adventure.
oh and they can just about gut out anything in tomorrowland to put in it I'm sure anything they remove wont be missed much! :-)
