Question Question about reserved spots for Fantasmic

Question: What's with the reserved spots with prime viewing for Fantasmic? And how can one ( I ) get in on this option?

Re: Question about reserved spots for Fantasmic

There is the dessert buffet which you have to pay for, formerly taking place on the Disney Gallery balcony but due to the dream suite is now taking place to the left of the middle tower.

To the right of the middle tower is a section that used to be nice prime viewing for anyone who got there first but is now roped off as a V.I.P. section, aka people who were chosen by the dream squad.

At the middle tower itself is the control booth and you either have to be related to the show itself or a very big V.I.P. to be there.

nothing to do with the dream suite, those seats in that section have been there for years.

go to main street when you start your day, enter the building where you can find the customer service desk and ask them about it.

if you stay at a Disney hotel, they can help you with it too.

hmm you're probably right and the ones to the left of the tower co-existed with the dessert buffet but either way you pay and get drinks and stuff in your seats i thought.

Oh and a clarification: it is no longer a buffet, it is a box with cheese, crackers, grapses, mini cheesecake, choc covered strawberry and some other stuff

You can call guest services and buy seats 30 days in advance.

Mmm... Cheese and crackers.... I want in.

Edit: And after seeing ragrobyn's photos of the box itself, I seriously want in. VIVA LA FANTASMIC!

Re: Question about reserved spots for Fantasmic

We booked in March for the beginning of April. 30 days ahead. I called reservations (714) 781-4400. They were very helpful and explained how everything worked. They day of your res. you go to guest services to pick up your tickets. They are located to the left (or west) of the front gate to Disneyland. Between 6:30-7:00 go to the podium that is set up between the raft launch and HM. That is where you pick your seats for the evening. Later that evening about 20 mininutes before the show starts, you arrive at your seat. Your host or hostess seats you and starts with beverages. Our hostess Laura (who was AWESOME!) questioned everyone about special events for the month of April and made badges for people with birthdays/anniversaries etc. THEN had the whole crowd sing Happy Birthday. Very fun! It was a fantastic experience and I am so glad we did it! Our seats were between the tower and vip seating for the dream squad.

Still if not the biggest, one of the biggest rip offs on any Disney property anywhere. I just bust up with laughter every time I see it and see what it costs.

Re: Question about reserved spots for Fantasmic

This was a much better buy when it was available on the balcony and had the buffet. It was still pretty pricey but the view was great and you didn't feel that they skimped on the dessert tray. But you were still watching F! so it wasn't great but...

So if you make a ressie can you pick which tower your sitting under or is it the day of that you pick your exact seats. (To my understanding, there are 2 towers were Riverside seating is available a) to the far left & last tower b) center tower) Is this correct?

I think for a cold night, it would be worth it but cookies for 50 bucks......mANnnnnnnnn I'm waiting till it becomes a buffet again

One more clarification: the premium viewing takes place on the second viewing tier from the light tower closest to the Mansion to the center tower. The stairs in between are Dream Squad viewing and the area to the right of the center tower is VIP, but not dream squad.
