What do you have most in common with Walt Disney?

Your personality, what traits do you think are most inline with Walt Disney' s personality? Traits might not be the correct term, but you understand.

Me; I think my "most in common personality traits" with Walt are dreaming, imagination, playing and work ethics.

I'm always dreaming of things, since I can remember, since I was 3 or 4, imaginary friends, imaginary worlds, intricate details. Imagining being in different places, with different people, escaping reality for short periods of time when I was a kid, (now I go Disneyland, read books and watch films to temporarily escape reality).

I always find myself at gatherings spending time with the kids, mine, nephews and nieces, they have much more interesting things to say.

I like to tinker with things, improve things. I'm rarely satisfied with what I do, always believing it could/can be done better.

In these ways I feel I am somewhat similar to Walt, I know he has been an influence on me in my adult life, family, faith and most of all FUN!

I would say a love for going to a place where both kids and parents can have fun. We try to do that with every family excursion.

I'm definitely a dreamer, and I feel the same sort of dichotomy of nostalgia and excitement about the future. And like Walt, I believe that people are, on the whole, smart enough to understand theme park stuff without being babied--and furthermore, I think it's an important mark of great integrity to pay attention to areas that recent management has tended to think guests ignore.

EDIT: And I also place really high value on tight-knit families, and I believe in them being able to have fun together and maybe even strengthen their relationships a little through that communal enjoyment.

I like plaid skirts and riding crops. Oh yeah, and a love of history--especially the westward expansion period of the United States.

I think I'm very good at recognizing tallent in others and bringing it out. That's probably the skill that I appreciate in Walt that I see in myself most. I voted for creativity in the pole though.

Walt and I share a passion for trains, the Victorian era and miniatures.

Re: What do you have most in common with Walt Disney?

For me it is the ability to see things complete in my head and know what I want it to be when done. (I lack in translating it to reality though).

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

If by "over" you mean "under," then you are correct.

Bob Thomas is quoted as writing in Walt Disney: An American Original, "By the time he'd reached 50, his 5ft 10 frame had filled out."

Be that as it may, the story is that when the trains were being designed, Walt himself decided that the door openings would be exactly six feet (which they, in fact, are), noting (I'm paraphrasing), "Hell, if I can fit through a six foot door, that should be fine for everyone!"

I really think that you don't have the legs for it.

But then I wasn't really into that whole Kilt thread anyway ...
