Question GCH Concierge vs. DLH Concierge?

Ok - I need someone to articulate the differences between the Grand California Hotel Concierge area and the DL Hotel Concierge area.

Is the food selection the same? Water, scones, cereal, etc.
Hours the same?
Are the amenities fairly the same?

What can I expect to be different?

thanks

Here is the Deck that look out to the Garden area.

Now look down from that Deck also you can see the high Firework at Disneyland From at Deck.
You can see the Disneyland Monorail track.

Here is some closet have the Game and shuff for the kids.

Now let talk about Mid, or late day meal.
Tea cookies

Cold drinks water coke dietcoke
In morring or noon the Cold drinks can run out. Then if the CM can fill it.

Now picture around the room. Tv area

Now Breakfasts time:

Think that all I have in picture.
If you get one of the concierge Room, Do No check in at the Front Deck Goto 6 floor and check-in at Concierge Desk.
Sometime No one will tell where to go.

Sorry two time try to book into the DLH Concierge room and it's alway book up.

Re: GCH Concierge vs. DLH Concierge?

I have stayed at both and I will only stay at the GCH from now on. The food is exactly the same, DLH has a larger refrigerator for juice boxes and water. I have found that the GCH is better staffed. Hours that they are open are the same. Service hours for breakfast, snacks and hors d'oerves are the same. The DLH closes service 2 hours early in the evening for desserts and cocktails. I just find the atmosphere to be friendlier and more inviting at the Grand.

Thanks for the pics, Alan! I've never been into the GCH lounge so it's interesting to see what they have.

Re: GCH Concierge vs. DLH Concierge?

They're pretty much the same, but because I've stayed at the DLH more, that one is my choice.

Re: GCH Concierge vs. DLH Concierge?

DLH in a heartbeat. The view is unsurpassed. It's full of history. Great photos on the walls. I found GCH to be crowded and well, ordinary. There was no magic. Food and snacks are/were identical. (DLH fridge kept things colder)

Re: GCH Concierge vs. DLH Concierge?

I've found the desserts to be a better variety at GCH and DLH does not have the sandwiches in the afternoon, nor the cordials available at night with the desserts. They both offer beer, wine and champagne during the evening hours but only the GCH offers the cordials with desserts.

The view is amazing, especially for fireworks at DLH, and we've always, always had wonderful experiences with the CMs at DLH. They are top notch. GCH, it's always been very enjoyable but nothing stands out. Oh except the carolers during Christmas season, that was wonderful.

Re: GCH Concierge vs. DLH Concierge?

I have not stayed concierge at GCH, but I have at the DLH and based on akfandisney's pics I'd say the offerings are identical. If I had the choice I'd choose DLH as it may be torn apart soon. That and the private elevator to the concierge level is very cool!
