It is, but I believe both attractions are mostly the same.

I would guess so. They were released at the same time. But it doesnt look that bad. Still worth checking out I guess. I just hope they dont make the new Tinker Bell one like this!

It seems incredibly similar to Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in that the sets and overall presentation is incredibly underwhelming, and the attraction is ONLY interesting because of the "game" aspect.

Another instance of WDI relying on a gimmick (the game) to create an entertaining experience instead of a variety of elements working together to create a rich, layered, entertaining experience.

You have no reason to be disappointed. It was clearly stated that there was no real scenery in the actual ride (which i think is completely barbaric). I am just... Eh. Still it looks fun. Perhaps you should ride it, maybe you will actually have... whats that word I just used? Oh yea..... fun.

I think it looks like fun.

I am not suprised or let down. I never expected a extravagant E-Ticket.

I am also not suprised that we would see threads here bashing the ride based on a poorly shot video...

I will wait to actually experience the attraction before I pass judgement and bash it. But thats just me!

Considering that many people were criticizing the concept of the attraction, the actual execution is irrelevant. But, now we can see the execution, and we can be sure that it does not redeem the concept in any way.

Thats what kids want these days! They want to be in control of their own life! They want to be able to spin around in a little "ship" as fast or as slow as they want! They want to point their gun where they want! And shoot "what" they want!

And if you wear a pair of 3-D poloroid glasses you can see the 3-D somewhat in the video. This is going to be one of those rides that the 3-D effect is going to count more than anything else. I think it's sad that you are judging something from Florida, a Poorly shot video, and really not what it will be like on the actual ride. It's not an E-Ticket, they never said it would be. I think it will be a lot of fun, and ours is two stories on the ride so they may be similar but ours will be better. We had John Lassiter, Florida did not.

Good point. You cant really say its a bad ride until you actually ride it. And you can judge it before you ride the "real" one in Cal.

Really? Or is that just regurgitation of Disney's fancy PR spin?

I mean, I didn't realize that kids these days didn't enjoy attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean (even before Jack Sparrow), the Matterhorn, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, or Indiana Jones Adventure.

Make a good ride and they will come. And a good ride does not have to rely on a gimmick.
