I guess that's the Maleficent Dragon, since there's nothing else it could be. Also, does anybody else find it funny that the Elliot float added in 1977 to promote the movie, was/is the only promotional float they kept?

There was also the Briny Deep unit with the fish band from Bedknobs and Broomsticks which changed to Pinocchio Underwater. I could be mistaken but that unit is now part of the Little Mermaid unit in SpectroMagic at WDW.

I don't think that float was ever used for Bedknobs & Broomsticks. And also, that is not a float in SpectroMagic.

They were also the Toy Soliders from Babes In Toyalnd carrying flags and banners behind the Casey Jr. Unit as well

That was only in WDW & Paris.

The Return to Oz float actually had costumes and props from the movie, but I heard it burned down or something.

It was only intended for a year to promote the movie. It was kinda cheap. The Small World float was the one that burned down.

A dragon, maybe the one people refer to as Maleficent.

Oh, yes it was! The fish musicians ARE from Bedknobs and Broomsticks in "The Beautiful Briny" number.
The Toy Soldiers were indeed at Disneyland and my Super 8mm movie proves it! It's amazing what you can remember as a kid and I do recall seeing all of this. Not to debate with anyone here but I will stick with my opinion.

The Fox and the Hound also had a promotional float featuring Amos' car I think.

Now THAT I would love to see as The Fox and the Hound is my favorite Disney movie.

I have pics of the parade from 1989. I'll see about getting them scanned in sometime today.
