A couple days ago, I read a thread about "HSM3 filming at DCA", and I think that is where they shot the scene(s). Though it wasn't an actual scene, just a segment where someone gets to be in HSM3.
They built a stage for HSM 3. It was filmed on monday for the theatrical release. I was not working monday but i saw them build it and was told it was for filiming a part of HSM 3, It was gone tuesday when i went back into work i was only gone monday. So they must have filmed monday.......

It was not for High School Musical 3.
It was for a reality TV show, which folks compete for a role on HSM 3.
